By
Staci Miller

The Glowblast Spike Thrower is part of the Spike Thrower archetype. Spike Throwers are simply spikes thrown that explode a few seconds after landing. While their execution can be very slow, they hit hard when they land, so they can be great in some situations.

The Glowblast Spike Thrower is considered Very Rare.

Description

Crafted with precision, this Quen weapon can launch Plasma Spikes that have a better chance of landing a Critical Hit.

Best Use

Spike Throwers are best used for slow machines that you want to get rid of quickly. Although the damage they can deal is shockingly mighty, it takes quite a while to load them up and quick machines may get the better of you in that time.

They’re also great to use from some cover or a slight distance, where even the fastest machines might take a second to get to you.

Plasma Spikes in particular are great for use on Apex Machines, as they’re weak to Plasma. You can also shoot them at Glowblasters to cause a chain reaction and really inflict some damage.
