Exacting Sharpshot Bow (Rare)

By
Nathan Garvin

Information about the Exacting Sharpshot Bow in Horizon Forbidden West, including how to obtain it, how to upgrade it, and what the strengths and weaknesses of the Exacting Sharpshot Bow are.

Exacting Sharpshot Bow Description

“A bow that’s as lethal as the Tenakth soldiers who use it. Perfect for landing precise, long-range hits that deal extra damage when using Concentration.”

You can buy the Exacting Sharpshot Bow from the Hunter in The Bulwark.

How to Get the Exacting Sharpshot Bow

Location Cost
The Bulwark Hunter 632x Metal Shards + 1x Clawstrider Circulator

You can buy this bow from various merchants in the eastern half of the Forbidden West. To access these areas you must complete the quest The Embassy. The Hunter in The Bulwark is one of the first merchants you’ll come across who sells it.

In addition to Metal Shards you’ll need to furnish the merchant with a Clawstrider Circulator, an Uncommon drop from Clawstriders.

How to Use the Exacting Sharpshot Bow

Essentially an improved Knockdown Sharpshot Bow, the Exacting Sharpshot Bow also has access to Precision Arrows and Knockdown Precision Arrows, both of which deal significantly more damage than its aforementioned counterpart. It’s Precision Arrows also outdamage those of the Hardweave Sharpshot Bow and the Cleaving Sharpshot Bow, although it’s also chronologically the last Rare Sharpshot Bow you can obtain, and the damage difference is fairly small between the Rare Sharpshot Bows.

On the downside, it requires Greenshine to upgrade, a limited-quantity resource you have to scour the map for. If you’re really keen on Knockdown Precision Arrows, it may be worth considering, but if you’d rather save this finite resource for superior weapons, you might just want to use them to upgrade the Glowblast Sharpshot Bow, instead.

The Exacting Sharpshot Bow can unlock three perks - Concentration Damage, Draw Speed and the ubiquitous Overdraw Damage. It can, like most Rare weapons, unlock two Coil Slots.
