How to Find & Complete the Fenrise Rebel Camp

By
Staci Miller

This is everything you need to know about how to find and complete the Fenrise Rebel Camp in Horizon Forbidden West.

How to Find the Fenrise Rebel Camp

Unlocked after finishing The Dying Lands (a main quest), the Fenrise Rebel Camp is located on the southwest of the map. Head to the southeast of Fall’s Edge to find it and the quest should unlock.

Unlike other Rebel Camps, the entrance is actually locked to outsiders and it’s a little difficult to work out how to get in. What you should do is head to the left and look for the Grapple Points. Aloy can use her Pullcaster on them to get inside (which is easy to forget about, since the Pullcaster is only necessary every now and again).

How to Defeat the Fenrise Rebel Camp

The same as other Rebel Camps, there is one main objective to focus on first: find and kill the Leader (mandatory). Like the other camps, you’ll also have Rebel Soldiers to kill, but there’s something a bit different about this one — it’s not optional.

Find and Kill the Leader

You can’t fully stealth your way to the Leader in this one. If you head to the left, you’ll find him in one of the huts surrounded by Soldiers and it’s best to kill them before proceeding to the Leader. Otherwise, they’ll attack as you try to get the Leader and it can be a real pain to deal with the distractions as they whittle down your health.

If you’re of the recommend level of above, this shouldn’t be too hard of a fight. Those under that level might struggle slightly.

Search the Command Center, which your objective leads you to, and leave.

Kill the Rebels

After you’ve done that, you’ll have to kill the Rebels outside. Unlike other Rebel locations, this isn’t optional and is something you have to do. The more you took out on your way to the Leader, the easier this will be, but the objective will stick until they’re all gone.

Try to get on one at a time if possible, though more will swarm as you proceed. As this is a bigger camp than most, they’re pretty spaced out so you might be able to lure one towards you at a time and take them out. If you can do this, it will make the fight considerably easier.

Talk to the Squad Leader

To finish up with this camp, talk to the Squad Leader, Gattak, which your objective marker will lead you to. They’ll tell you about the camp being taken over, and Aloy will realize it was a show of strength by the Rebels. Gattak promises to restore the Camp to its former glory and defend it from any Rebels that come.

The Rebel Camp is now complete! Make sure you go around and loot all of the Rebel Soldier bodies for any materials they’ve left behind before you leave it completely.
