Assassin's Creed Mirage

Qabiha’s Domain - The Servant and the Impostor - Assassin’s Creed Mirage

By
Scott Peers

The first step to finding the elusive Qabiha involves an investigation of the Harem, located in the Round City of Baghdad. As a regular man, Basim won’t be able to gain access to the Harem without using a disguise. Only specific guards, members of the Harem, or eunuchs can gain entrance with ease. On this page, we’ll show you how to gain access to the Harem by stealing and wearing a eunuch uniform. We’ll also guide you through the process of finding the makeup, potion, and book for Makira. Finally, we’ll explain what you need to find in Qabiha’s office to advance the investigation into her whereabouts.

Basim infiltrating the Harem as a eunuch in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Now that you’ve ruled out the possibility of the poet Arib being a member of the Order of the Ancients, you can focus on finding Qabiha. You should begin your search in the Residential District of the Round City. When you reach the area, use your bird to scout the precise location of the Harem building. You can then find the entrance using Eagle Vision. However, if you try to enter via the front door, the guard will shoo you away. You need to find a different way into the Harem, and the first step towards doing this involves eavesdropping on some of the people within.

The Servant and the Impostor - Find a Way Into the Harem

To eavesdrop for information, go to the southern side of the Harem building, on the first floor. You’ll notice an audio sign on the shuttered window here, indicating an eavesdropping opportunity. Sit on the bench next to the window and listen in on the conversation taking place inside. You’ll overhear an argument between two members of the Harem: Farah and Nasrin. The most crucial bit of information here is that they’re expecting some new eunuchs to arrive soon, which provides you with a way in without seeming too suspicious. However, if you want to pass as a eunuch, you need to wear one of their uniforms.

Where to Find the Eunuch Tunic

There are two places nearby where you can find a eunuch tunic. Use your bird to scout for and highlight them, then make your way to either. We went to the small market stall located directly south of the Harem. Just be aware that once you steal the tunic, the merchant at the stall will call the guards, so you’ll need to get out of there quickly. Equip the tunic and make your way back to the front door of the Harem. You’ll now be let in as a cutscene plays. After the scene, your first objective will be to search Qabiha’s office. You’ll find the entrance through the door to the north, but it’s currently locked.

Help Makira in the Harem

Another scene will play as you attempt to open the door during which Makira, the woman who let you in, asks what you’re up to. It’s clear that Basim is trying to break into the office and he has to charm Makira by offering her something in return for not saying anything about it. It turns out that Makira has a crush on one of the guards at the gate, but one of her rivals, Farah, is apparently cramping her style by using special makeup and a “magic potion” to seduce the guard. If you want access to the office, you’ll need to bring both of these assets back to Makira.

How to Steal the Potion from Nasrin

After the scene with Makira, you’ll need to locate a woman named Nasrin within the Harem. This is fairly easy since there’s an orange hand icon above her head, which you can see through the walls. Go to Nasrin and pickpocket the potion from her. As soon as you have it you realize that it’s alcohol, something which Makira apparently has no experience of.

Where to Find Farah’s Makeup for Makira

The next objective is to find some of Farah’s makeup and bring it back to Makira. You can find some in Farah’s room on the southern side of the Harem, but you need to move a barricade located behind her desk to gain access to it. Just push the barricade northwards and then take the makeup from the shelf.

Where to Find the Book for Makira

Now that you have both items for Makira you can return to her outside the office. At this point, she’ll ask you for one more favor which involves taking a book (The Garden and its Mysteries) from the Caliph’s quarters, which is located on the top floor of the Harem. Makira wants you to place the book in her room once you have it. Her room is located in the east corner of the Harem.

If you want to gain access to the office you have no choice but to help Makira. To reach the top floor, head through the doorway to the west, going up the stairs that you see opposite. When you go through the door at the top you’ll be on the roof of the Harem, which is crawling with guards. You can either take them out one by one or sneak your way through using the foliage for cover. Whatever method you choose, you need to get to the Caliph’s quarters on the eastern side of the roof. Once inside, you’ll find the book on a stool at the southern side of the room.

With the book in hand, go back the way you came to the main quarters of the Harem. You need to place the book in Makira’s room on the east side of the building. If you’re having trouble locating it, use Eagle Vision to highlight the bed in orange. After placing the book, return to Makira outside the office. You’ll find her drunk from the alcohol that you stole, with makeup running around her eyes. She asks you to return the potion back to Nasrin, which you can do in the same way that you did when you pickpocketed it from her.

(1 of 2) There will be a lot of guards on the rooftop, so you need to kill them or sneak your way through.

Investigate Qabiha’s Office

After returning the potion to Nasrin, go back to Makira one last time to receive the key to Qabiha’s office. Once inside you’ll need to examine a few objects including a hairpin, a bottle of perfume, and a book containing one of Arib’s poems. You’ll also find a map of the Caliphate and Alamut on the eastern side of the room, which provides the key information that you need to complete the investigation of the office. You can now leave to start another cutscene in the central courtyard of the Harem.

The scene that follows reveals the true intentions of Makira. It turns out that you’ve been little more than a porter in her plot to murder Farah. The potion that you returned to Nasrin was in fact poison, which Makira wanted you to plant on Nasrin so that it looks like she poisoned Farah. In addition, the book that you thought you placed in Makira’s room was actually in Nasrin’s room, and it contains detailed knowledge of the poison that was used to kill Farah. As a result, Makira has set up Nasrin so that she’s suspected of killing Farah, and Makira no longer has to contend with either of them for her love interest.

The cutscene that follows is a fairly long one. There isn’t anything more you can do for this mission once it ends, but you now have more information about where Qabiha is focusing her gaze, and your next move will be to investigate the Mazalim Court.
