It’s generally best to avoid direct combat in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but you will sometimes find yourself in situations where it’s unavoidable. Basim will always be dual wielding a sword and a dagger in the game, with the dagger being used for parrying and the sword used for direct damage to enemies. Each of the daggers and swords you will unlock during the course of the game has a passive ability on them, so you may be wondering which is the best to use.
All Weapon Locations in Assassin’s Creed Mirage¶
You will begin the game, once you get to the open world, Initiate of Alamut Sword and Initiate of Alamut Dagger. These are good starting weapons and could probably last you throughout the game, but you may want to switch to another one. The majority of the other weapons, which includes both swords and daggers, are found in Gear Chests. These are one of the game’s collectibles and there are a total of 30 to be found. Each territory in the game will have three Gear Chests and the first one you open will always have the weapon (or outfit, in some instances). The other two chests in that territory will contain the Upgrade Schematics for that piece of equipment.
There are a few instances where you’ll obtain weapons outside of the Gear Chests. For example, the Rostam Sword/Dagger will be rewards for doing Contracts, and the Hidden Chamber works differently in how you unlock those. Don’t forget there are also weapons that are included in the paid Downloadable Content.

Best Weapons to Use in Assassin’s Creed Mirage¶
So, you know where to get all of the weapons and want to know which ones are the best? Well, first off, it’s much better to strike from the shadows and just stealth your way through the game. Direct combat should be used as a last resort, but if you do get put into that situation, then the Hidden One Sword is a great option. This will make it so every fifth hit will poison the enemy you’re fighting, a great option for the foes that don’t go down quickly. Couple this with the Hidden One Dagger to make the poisoned enemy you defeat make a poison cloud.
The Rostam Sword is another great option, as it makes each consecutive attack deal more damage, up to a 50% increase. You will need to play the game until you unlock Contracts, with The Weapons Dealer being one of the first ones you have. To pair up with this, the Initiate of Alamut Dagger might be your best bet, especially if you have the timing down for parrying. Likewise, if you find yourself getting hit a lot, then The Samsaama might be a good substitute, since every fifth hit with it equipped will give you back some health.
