Assassin's Creed Mirage

Completing The Informant Contract - Assassin's Creed Mirage

By
Jessica Dillon

The Informant is another frustrating quest that can take several attempts to figure out. You are tasked with rescuing a man in the middle of a restricted zone. The only problem is that he constantly sneezes, alerting the guards to your location. To top things off, if you want the bonus reward, you can’t even kill them, making the mission even more frustrating. The guide below goes over how to save the guard, alerting the informant without killing anyone.

The Informant will become available once you have completed The State Official.

When Does The Informant Contract Become Available?

The Informant will appear after you have completed The State Official contract. After this is done, The Informant will automatically appear on the contract board at the bureau. When you are ready to try it out, head to the bureau and activate the contract. As always, you can track it by going to the contract section of your menu.

How to Rescue The Informant Without Killing The Guards

The Informant will send you out into the northern Wilderness to Caravanserai. This is a restricted area, and you have the bonus task of not killing anyone. While this may seem simple at first, as soon as you scout things out with your falcon, you will learn that the informant is dead in the middle of this zone. To make matters worse, guards are placed at every angle to keep you from sneaking in unseen. The best course here is to pay a nearby group a Merchant Token to help you get around inside. They can be found standing near the tent directly in front of the gate.

Walk with the crowd inside of Caravanserai and enter the door leading to the center room as they pass by. The informant is inside the large red pot; break it and pick him up. You need to carry him back to safety, but sneaking is out of the question as he sneezes constantly, alerting any nearby guards to your location. Use Eagle Vision to spot the posse you paid off and rejoin them while carrying the informant to safely get back outside the gate. If you’ve already lost them somehow, then you will have to run for it.

(1 of 7) The Informant contract sends you to Caravanserai.

In this scenario, you will need to run out the southern gate, drop the informant on the ground, and then get away from the guards. Once they aren’t looking for you anymore, you can return and speak with the informant to complete the contract. Hiding is a bit hard in the area, so we don’t suggest this route, as you will need to escape pretty far out and then walk back.

The Informant Rewards

After completing The Informant contract, you will get 45 components, two Power Favor tokens, and two skill points. If you complete the mission without killing any guards, then you will also receive 65 Dirhams and two additional Power Favor tokens for your trouble. After the rewards have been granted, The Informant contract will fully come to a close.
