There are three Enigmas that you will want to find in the Wilderness area. These are needed to do a completionist run of the game and once you get started, they are relatively easy to find. Joy Beneath Weeping Palms is an Enigma with a treasure map attached. Of course, the map isn’t very helpful so it’s hard to find the treasure unless you just accidentally stumble across it. How to Find the Joy Beneath Weeping Palms Enigma in AC Mirage¶
This Enigma is part of the three-part Wilderness Enigma set. It’s found right at the start of the southern Wilderness, right beside the Gate of the Mills. This can be a long walk if you haven’t been to this part of the map, so get on your mount and start hoofing it to the Gate of the Mills. Once there, take a left, and you will soon see the marker for Enigmas pop up. You should see a gazebo nearby.

Go to the gazebo and you will see the Enigma sitting on the ground, you will need to hold the button in to pick it up. Once in your possession, you will have the Joy Beneath Weeping Palms Enigma and a map. This map can be found in your inventory and is a crude drawing, similar to what you will see when doing the Surrender Enigma treasure hunt. Due to the nature of the map, and the lack of detail, it can be hard to figure out where the treasure is located. The section below goes over where to find the treasure in the Southern Wilderness.
Where to Find the Treasure for the Joy Beneath Weeping Palms Enigma¶
This is a bit harder to track down as you are essentially going to the middle of nowhere to find the treasure. The easiest way to locate this treasure is to bring up your map. On it, there is a river that goes south and turns into a T at the bottom. In the middle of the river leading down on the left side are several fields of palm trees. You will want to hop back onto your mount and start riding into the desert towards this exact location. There won’t be a marker that pops up when you get close so it’s easy to get lost.

Once you are there, go to the location in the picture above. You will see a glowing spot under some palm trees next to a pile of rocks. Pick it up to receive the Green Hidden One dye, a purely cosmetic item. You can go to your menu to use this dye to change the color of your outfit at any time. You will also be able to freely switch back and forth between the colors you own. After this, everything associated with the Joy Beneath Weeping Palms Enigma will be wrapped up.
