Assassin's Creed Mirage

All Lost Books in Harbiyah - Assassin's Creed Mirage

By
Jarrod Garripoli

There are many collectibles to be found in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, all of which will contribute towards unlocking the Explorer trophy/achievement. One of those collectibles is something called Lost Books. You will also need to collect all seven Lost Books to bring to Al-Jahiz, for the Scholar trophy/achievement. As just mentioned, there’s a total of seven Lost Books, with this page focusing on how to get the Lost Books in the Harbiyah region.

Where to Find the Lost Book: Al-Tabari Tafsir of al-Tabari

The first Lost Book in Harbiyah is located in the northern part, near the Nestorian Monastery. If you go up there, you will find the Tale of Baghdad - Holy Mission; the book is close by. In fact, if you use Eagle Vision, you might notice that something is glowing underground. That is the Lost Book, but getting to it is something that might be tricky. South of the book’s icon on the map is a Secret Entrance, which is just some stairs that will lead you underground; this Secret Entrance is actually marked on your map, as well.

(1 of 6) You can find this Lost Book near the Nestorian Monastery.

Go down the stairs and into some kind of basement, where you will find some shelves that you can move. For each of the shelves, you will be pulling them towards you. Start with the one at the far end of the room, opposite where you entered, then go for the other two that are closer together. If you moved them all out of the way, then you should be able to access the hole in the wall behind the one shelf. There will be a chest back here, with some upgrade materials, and you can unbar the door. To the left of the chest, there is a cloth acting as a curtain. Go through it and you’ll find your Lost Book there.

Where to Find the Lost Book: Kalila wa-Dimna

The second Lost Book in Harbiyah is found towards the southwestern portion, not too far from the border with the Abbasiyah region. If you’ve been there, look for the Great Mosque location, as it’s a little southwest of that. If you grab the Viewpoint to the north of the Great Mosque, then that will place a Historical Site southwest of that location. In fact, the Historical Site in that area is in the same location as the Lost Book, so you’ll be killing two birds with one stone.

(1 of 6) The second Lost Book in Harbiyah is found southwest of the Great Mosque.

It’s inside a building, but both doors to gain entry will be barred, so you’ll have to find another way into it. Go to the south side of the building and look for the open window there. Locate the stairs and look through the bars there, where you should see a red jar. Hit the red jar with your Throwing Knife to make it explode, which should unbar the one door underneath the window you climbed through to get into the building. Climb back outside, through the same window, then enter the door. The Lost Book will be on the table (the Kalila and Dimna Historical Site is also right there).
