How to Use the Gunlance

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

The Gunlance is a melee weapon that does cut damage and special explosive damage. The weapon’s attacks are based on thrusting attacks and explosive shells that you’ll need to reload fairly frequently. Your gun’s bullets are represented by the shells to the right of your weapon’s sharpness indicator. The gunlances’ shield is also the strongest shield and has the best blocking ability. This weapon is great if you’re looking for a high range melee weapon and more versatility with using a gun, shield and lance.

Wyvern’s Fire

The Wyvern’s Fire special ability, which is activated by pressing Monster Hunter Rise Screenshot + Monster Hunter Rise Screenshot + Monster Hunter Rise Screenshot, will trigger a huge explosion after charging it up. However, it does take 110 seconds to recharge so make it count! You can see your cooldown via the bullet beneath your weapon’s sharpness symbol.
