Monster Hunter Rise

What are Rampages

By
Shane Williams

Rampages are a new tower defense type mini game that you’ll face as you progress through the Village Quest in Monster Hunter Rise.

Rampage Quests can be accepted by speaking with Hinoa.

How to complete Rampages

Once you’ve set up you arena, you’ll have three of the following ways of completing the Rampage:

  1. Defeat all three hordes.
  2. Defeat the Apex Monster
  3. Complete one side quest.

Special A type different from any of the above.

How to play Rampages

Once you’ve started a Rampage Quest, you’ll begin a preparation phase where you’ll want to place Mountable, Auto and Limited types of Hunting Installation to use against the incoming enemies. Below you’ll find a list of tips to help make these Rampage Quests easier.

(1 of 2) Defend the Village by using a variety of Hunting Installations.

Place a variety of devices

During the preparation phase, make sure to place a variety of devices both manned and auto, so you can take control if the situation goes bad. As you level up your Stronghold, you’ll gain access to more powerful Hunting Installations. You’ll also be able to deconstruct your installations and replace them

Level up your Stronghold

As you’re playing through a Rampage, you’ll want to work on getting your level up, as it’ll unlock more devices to use against the stronger enemies in the later rounds. This can be done a lot quicker if you complete the Side Jobs which are shown on the left of your screen.

However, once you complete this Rampage and go into another one, your level will be reset back to 1.

The Gong Hunting Installation

Throughout the Rampage you’re given a counterattack signal, this means your attacks will be stronger, so make sure to go all out during this phase. You can also trigger this yourself by interacting with the Gong.
