Monster Hunter Rise

Relic Records

By
Vincent Lau

What are Relic Records?

These are artifacts left behind by previous inhabitants, placed in hard-to-find or reach locations of the map. Once you’ve found a record, it will be saved in your Hunter’s Notes, the Notebook section. After finding all 10 records of the same type, speak to Kagero the Merchant in Kamura Village to receive unique carvings for your room.

Relic Record I

(1 of 2) Cautious hunters may want to peer down before jumping.

Cautious hunters may want to peer down before jumping. (left), This relic is near the far corner after falling down. (right)

A fairly simple relic to start you off. Go over to the westernmost edge of the highlands in Area 2. You can use the tunnel near the main camp and the great wirebug at the end to get there quick. Drop down from the edge of the cliff and you’ll find this relic near the corner.

Relic Record II

(1 of 2) Care for a spot of fishing?

Care for a spot of fishing? (left), Nevermind. No time for that–we’ve got lots of relics to find! (right)

Go down to the lower region directly north of the main camp, between areas 1 and 2. Follow the path west towards a pond where you can fish. Facing the fishing spot, look right and there’s an alcove in the wall where this relic is waiting.

Relic Record III

(1 of 2) This is the mountain you’re looking for.

This is the mountain you’re looking for. (left), Climb up to the north-facing ledge for this relic. (right)

Head to the lower region in the south-eastern corner, between areas 1 and 4. Climb up the tallest mountain here. The relic is on a ledge facing north.

Relic Record IV

(1 of 2) You have to try really hard to see this relic.

You have to try really hard to see this relic. (left), Anyway, look for this bush near a fallen tree. (right)

Hidden among a flowery bush towards the far east of the Area 11 highlands. There’s a fallen tree trunk nearby. If you’ve unlocked Sub-Camp 1, you can use the great wirebug atop the tower to quickly reach Area 11. But you’ll need to mid-air roll near the end of your flight, or you’ll go underground.

Relic Record V

(1 of 2) Look for this small sand bridge towards the north.

Look for this small sand bridge towards the north. (left), The relic’s inside the alcove across the bridge. (right)

In an alcove across a small sand bridge between areas 8 and 12. From Relic Record IV, head east to the Area 8 battleground. Then go north and drop down to the lower region. You should spot the sand bridge ahead. You could also fast-travel to Sub-Camp 2 and head west to Area 8.

Relic Record VI

(1 of 2) Use a wirebug to leap across from where the tree is.

Use a wirebug to leap across from where the tree is. (left), The relic’s behind the dividing pillar. (right)

This relic is located underground. Make your way to the underground section between areas 5 and 9. There are multiple ways to enter it. For example, you can travel north along the lower region between areas 5 and 6. If you’ve unlocked Sub-Camp 2, use the great wirebug nearby. Then walk south-east and fall down the pit.

Once there, climb up to the raised ground in the south-east corner where there’s some light shining and a tree at the top. If you came from the pit, you can fall down to it instead. Using your mini-map, face Area 9 and look slightly up. You should notice two gaps in the wall. Wiredash across and you’ll find this relic behind the dividing pillar.

Relic Record VII

(1 of 2) Wiredash your way up this tower.

Wiredash your way up this tower. (left), You’ll find this relic on the middle level of the tower. (right)

In the middle tier of the tower on the highlands between areas 2, 3 and 7. If you unlocked Sub-Camp 1, fast-travel there and you’ll be at the base of the tower. Then use your wirebugs to climb up.

Otherwise, go through the tunnel near the main camp, use the great wirebug and then use a second great wirebug that’s positioned in mid-air. You’ll land on the top of the tower, near a third great wirebug. From there, carefully drop down to the lower level.

Relic Record VIII

(1 of 2) For minimal effort, drop down from the highlands between areas 4 and 5.

For minimal effort, drop down from the highlands between areas 4 and 5. (left), The relic has made itself home inside the alcove. (right)

Inside an alcove high up the west-facing cliff south from the Area 4 battleground. You can directly climb up using your wirebugs, although you’ll need to hang in the air with Monster Hunter Rise Screenshot to regain stamina.

Alternatively, use the great wirebug in the lower region between areas 1 and 4 to launch yourself to the top of the highlands. Use a wirebug to cross north. Then look east and drop down to the alcove from there.

Relic Record IX

(1 of 2) Venture east from the underground part of Area 12 to discover an eerie tomb.

Venture east from the underground part of Area 12 to discover an eerie tomb. (left), Inside the tomb, take a right turn to reach this relic. (right)

This relic’s located underground. Drop down to the underground section of Area 12. Climb up the walls towards the east and, on the highest level, look for a door along the center. Go through the door to reach a creepy tomb underneath Area 9. Take a right and explore the southernmost room for this relic.

Relic Record X

(1 of 2) Look north while standing near the center of the large sand bridge in Area 12.

Look north while standing near the center of the large sand bridge in Area 12. (left), Head to the central hill with the ruins for this relic. (right)

The last relic is easy to find. Make your way to the lower region north of the large sand bridge in the center of Area 12. The place we’re referring to is the northernmost location in the Sandy Plains–and it’s above ground. In the middle, there’s a small ruin atop a hill. The relic’s on the hill, facing west.
