Freeing the Beast

Speak with Beast after the scene and you will be tossed into combat against some Nobodies; a new enemy called a Dragoon. After the battle you are in the Ballroom so head out to the Entrance Hall and over to the West Hall. At the steps you can leap with High Jump Lv2 and Aerial Dodge to reach Dawn #43 .

Monster - Dragoon

Dragoons fight like Xaldin but have a major weakness in that you can use the Reaction Command “Learn” to unleash Jump on them and deal a lot of damage.

Enter Beast’s Room for a quick scene. Head back into Beast’s Room and talk to him. You’ll receive the Rumbling Rose Keyblade and Castle Walls Map after the scene. There is also the Absent Silhouette for Marluxia in this room now. Back at the Entrance Hall you’ll have to fight off more Dragoons. Head to the Courtyard for a scene and the start off the boss fight.

BOSS - Xaldin

Xaldin wields lances just like Dragoons but he uses six of them at a time. The thing you need to know the most is that when Xaldin lunges with his lances you can use the “Learn” Reaction Command. Mash it a few times and you should accumulate a few uses; it tops off at nine. This allows you to use Jump which deals significant damage and sets Xaldin up to be attacked with a vicious aerial combo.

In regards to his attacks, Xaldin uses lunges and slashes that are easy to Dodge Roll or Quick Run to avoid leaving himself open for a counter or his Reaction Command. While in the air Xaldin will use Wind Blast or a Lightning Zap that can be Reflected. As the battle draws to a close, Xaldin unleashes his most furious attack, Dragon Ride. Xaldin rides around on his lances and unleashes a huge beam across the bridge. Use Jump at this point to avoid damage and start a combo, preferably a few Jumps should be used at this point to close out the battle.

Rewards : HP +5 (Sora), Reflect Element (Sora), Auto Healing (Donald), HP +5 (Goofy), HP +25 (Beast)

Watch for the Learn Reaction Command (left). You can use this to acquire uses of Jump (right) to do some serious damage.

After the battle you receive Secret Ansem’s Report 4. If you didn’t grab it during the battle, head back to the Bridge and snag Twilight #28 . This opens up the path back to Olympus Coliseum.

Kingdom Hearts II begins where Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days leave off. Sora and his companions have been asleep for about a year, regaining their memories. When Sora awakens, he eventually arrives in Twilight Town, the place where a mysterious boy, Roxas, lived before he suddenly left. Gaining new clothes and powers, Sora began his journey anew, unaware of the events that have taken place in Chain of Memories. Sora continues his quest by unlocking paths to new worlds, learning of Nobodies and fighting the Heartless, as well as facing the remaining members of the mysterious Organization XIII. As the game progresses, Sora learns about Roxas and how much they have in common.

Birth By Sleep is the origins of the series’ hero and villain, Sora and Xehanort, and delves deep into the mysteries of Xehanort’s bleak past and forgotten memories as well as how Sora and Riku came to wield the Keyblade in the first place. It deals with three Keyblade Wielders: Terra, Aqua and Ventus and each character has their own scenario.
