Return of Jafar

Right from the start you’ll notice the last Absent Silhouette is available now. Run on out to the Palace Walls and Genie will get rid of the sandstorm so you can get to the ruins. After a scene you’ll get some information on how to ride on Carpet. Defeat the Heartless then chase Jafar’s Shadow, but just below him is Twilight #18 . Continue to the next arch where you’ll find Dawn #35 then continue the chase. As you move you’ll have to strike Jafar to stop him from casting spells.

At the tower you’ll see Dawn #41 along the way. Defeat the Heartless as you make your way to the top of the tower where you’ll have more to battle. Now you have to fly around and trigger three switches. The Fire Switch is under a ledge on the tower, but skip that for now. Get the Thunder Switch near the start and the Blizzard Switch between buildings first. Now hit the Fire Switch and easily beat the time limit to enter the Ruined Chamber.

Open the two chests to obtain some Torn Pages (25/26) and the Ruins Map (26/26). Climb the stairs to trigger a scene and a minigame. The game isn’t hard but you’ll need to take out the Heartless that attack along the way. Talk to the Peddler and head to the Palace.

BOSS - Jafar

You’ll be flying on Carpet for this battle and it’s not the hardest one. You have a few places to strike, the hands, stomach, and the head. The hands are annoying and cast all the spells. They are best attacked when Jafar spends his time flexing/posing. The stomach on the other hand is great because it will cause Jafar to keel over. Don’t take out the stomach “beforehand” or else you can’t use the “Roll Up” Reaction Command that stuns Jafar longer. Eventually you’ll be teleported to an area where Jafar is tossing buildings, but just Guard them until you are returned.

Reward : Fire Element (Sora)

Hitting his head (left) is a sure way of doing good damage. You can also use Spin Burst (right) to get Jafar to keel over giving you free shots at him.

You obtain the Wishing Lamp Keyblade after the battle. If you’ve been sticking with the chapters in the 100 Acre Wood you’ll want to go and do the last one right now.

Kingdom Hearts II begins where Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days leave off. Sora and his companions have been asleep for about a year, regaining their memories. When Sora awakens, he eventually arrives in Twilight Town, the place where a mysterious boy, Roxas, lived before he suddenly left. Gaining new clothes and powers, Sora began his journey anew, unaware of the events that have taken place in Chain of Memories. Sora continues his quest by unlocking paths to new worlds, learning of Nobodies and fighting the Heartless, as well as facing the remaining members of the mysterious Organization XIII. As the game progresses, Sora learns about Roxas and how much they have in common.

Birth By Sleep is the origins of the series’ hero and villain, Sora and Xehanort, and delves deep into the mysteries of Xehanort’s bleak past and forgotten memories as well as how Sora and Riku came to wield the Keyblade in the first place. It deals with three Keyblade Wielders: Terra, Aqua and Ventus and each character has their own scenario.

Kingdom Hearts II and Birth by Sleep will take you to many places and we have them all covered here. Inside you will find:

  • Complete walkthrough coverage for both Kingdom Hearts 2 and Birth By Sleep.
  • Side quests covered in detail from Absent Silhouettes to Atlantica.
  • Gummi ship missions and details.
