Walkthrough for the East Crossbell Highway in Chapter 2 of The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, including basic information about the monsters encountered in the area and the treasures you can find as you explore.
Once you’ve fully finished exploring the west of Crossbell for now, it’s time to turn your attention to the east, where there’s two more Requests that await you (one of which will advance the story) along with a new section of the East Crossbell Highway available to you.

All Sepith (40) | Second area |
Range | Second area |
Once you’re ready, grab the bus outside Crossbell’s eastern exit and take it to Bus Stop (Fork). You’ll remember that before, we couldn’t leave this area to the southeast but now you can, so go ahead and do so. There are three new monsters to add to your Combat Notebook here, but note that the Fartacus will only appear in battles that feature a Horned Frog in it. All three enemies, however, should be no threat if you gained some levels at Moon Temple and explored West Crossbell Highway first.
Follow the path east and you’ll eventually come across the first chest along the southern edge of the area, open it to obtain an EP Charge. Take the nearby path south and you’ll come across a second chest at the end, this one housing a Heaven’s Eye Quartz. This handy Quartz will give the same effect as both the Eagle Eye (displays enemies on the mini-map) and Information (shows enemy information without scanning them) in one handy Quartz so be sure to set it.
Return to the intersection and continue east and look to the north to find a third and final chest for this area tucked away in the northwest corner, open it to obtain a Teara Balm. That’s all for this area, so continue along the eastern path and into the second area.
Ignore the first intersection and continue along the path to the northeast and you’ll soon reach a second intersection. Head northeast up this slope, deal with the Horned Frog and then you’ll be presented with two chests. The chest on the left contains All Sepith (40) while the chest on the right is a monster chest. You’ll be up against two Horned Frogs and four Purple Charlots, all enemies you’ve been mowing down in this area already. Once you dispatch them, you’ll obtain the Range Quartz which will increase the attack range of a character.
Return to the last intersection and follow it east to another, where once again another monster chest awaits. This one is out of your capabilities right now, the Master Cryons are Level 30 but you can still enter the battle, scan them, and run away if you so wish. All that remains now is to continue along the path to the east to enter Tangram Gate.
Exploring Tangram Gate¶
Much like Bellguard Gate to the west of Crossbell, Tangram Gate serves a similar function however, you do have a Request to take care of here. Enter the main building and enter the second room on your left to reach the cafeteria. Speak with Temas behind the counter twice to learn the Boiled Fish Hotpot Recipe.
Leave this room by taking the door to the west and take the stairs up to the next floor and follow the eastern corridor until you eventually end up outside where you’ll find a chest containing a Soldier Suit, be sure to equip it on Lloyd or Randy right away. All that remains now is to return to the second floor and head to the Gate command room to complete the Guardian Force Drill Participation Request.
