The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero

The Many Famous Views of Crossbell

By
Nathan Garvin

Walkthrough for the request “The Many Famous Views of Crossbell” in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero.

Check the computer in the SSS HQ on Day 1 of Chapter 3 to get this request, which you won’t complete until after you reach Day 3.

How to Start The Many Famous Views of Crossbell

The Many Famous Views of Crossbell is a request in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, which you can pick up on Chapter 3 Day 1. To start this quest you just need to sit through all the chatter at the start of the day, and when you finally gain control of your characters, investigate the computer in the SSS HQ to accept this request.

How to Complete The Many Famous Views of Crossbell

Despite this request starting on Chapter 3 Day 1, you won’t be able to optimally complete it until Chapter 3 Day 3, as you need to photograph nine different locations to earn the max Detective Points, and what’s the point of completing it earlier if you miss out on some Detective Points? That said, it’s a long-running request, so you can safely ignore it until you’re ready (read: able) to get the most out of it.

That just so happens to be on Chapter Day 3, specifically after completing the urgent request Missing Tourists, during which you’ll gain access to the Ancient Battlefield field dungeon. Complete the walkthrough pages linked, after which it’s the perfect time to finally deal with this request.

Make your way to the Harbor District in Crossbell City, enter the Crossbell News Service building and talk to Receptionist Tria and after a good bit of chatter you’ll be given an Orbal Camera and tasked with traveling around Crossbell and snapping photos of various scenic spots. You only need to get five photos, but there are a maximum of nine spots you can photograph, and as mentioned earlier, you’ll get +3 Detective Points for photographing all nine, so that should be your goal.

(1 of 9) To earn the maximum amount of Detective Points, you’ll need to take pictures at Old Armorica Road,

Now that you’ve started this request, all you need is to travel through pretty much every area in the game and find these scenic spots you need to photograph, which will only be indicated when you stumble upon the spot (you’ll get an exclamation point over your head when you’re nearby). Anywho, no need to fuss around with that if you’re reading this, the locations can be found, below:

  • Old Armorica Road: On the first screen beyond the East Crossbell Highway, just follow the road through the area until you find a missing section of fence just southeast of the gate that cordons off the area you explored during the urgent request Old Road Property Monster Extermination. Search around near this missing section of fence along the road until you find the scenic spot.

  • Ancient Battlefield: From the first screen, exit to the southeast to reach the second screen, then continue up several flights of stairs to the east to reach some ruins past the entrance to the Underground Passage, specifically the stairs leading up to the giant bell overlooking the rest of the Ancient Battlefield. The scenic spot is just past the bell.

  • Armorica Village: Head up to the Mayor’s house along the northern end of the village and search for the scenic spot along the yard to the northwest, overlooking the farms and mountains in the distance.

  • Ursula Road: Seek out the ruins on the eastern end of Ursula Road, near the Ursula Road - Estuary fishing spot. Basically the entire ruins here count as the scenic spot, so search around for the prompt.

  • Stargazer’s Tower: Head to the exterior area outside of Stargazer’s Tower and you should spot the prompt for the scenic site as you head down the stairs towards the tower.

  • Crossbell Cathedral: Exit out to the Mainz Mountain Path, then take the area transition to the east to reach Crossbell Cathedral. Make your way east to the second screen of the cathedral (the graveyard) and head to the easternmost end to find the scenic spot along a cliff next to a large tombstone.

  • Mainz Mountain Path: Make your way to the third area of Mainz Mountain Path, specifically to the Mainz Mount Path - Waterfall fishing spot, which is on a small bit of land between two bridges, in the shadow of a wide waterfall. The scenic spot is just to the southeast of this fishing spot.

  • Moon Temple: Progress through the Mainz Mountain Path until you reach the Mainz Mountain Path - Tunnel area, then exit via the western area transition to find yourself on the road to the Moon Temple. You can’t actually access this dungeon yet, but you don’t need to - just progress down the road until you reach some barricade. The scenic spot is just in front of these barricades.

  • West Crossbell Highway: Make your way to the third screen of the West Crossbell Highway and search the northernmost point of this area. You’ll find the scenic spot just off the road to the north, along a chain fence overlooking some train tracks.

Snap photos at all nine scenic spots, then return to the CNS building and report to Receptionist Tria, and after some more chatter this request will be over.
