Walkthrough for the final part of the main quest “Threat Letter Investigation (Part 2)” during Chapter 2 in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, including details on how to successfully undertake the investigation in Arc en Ciel.

Investigating Arc en Ciel¶

After meeting Yin atop Stargazer’s Tower story events will unfold via a series of scenes, ultimately ending with Lloyd and Elie staking out Arc en Ciel during the preview performance.

Your task here is simple, you’ve got to keep a lookout for suspicious activity in an attempt to thwart whatever dastardly crime the threat letter from Yin was supposed to distract from. In terms of gameplay, you’ll need to talk to NPCs and examine points of interest - doing so will advance time through the three acts of the performance. The points of interest and NPCs you can interact with include:

• Manager Balsamo, in the main lobby.

• Receptionist Rowland, behind the counter in the lobby.

• Theater main doors (head upstairs to the north, examine the gilded double doors and pick the option Look inside).

• VIP balconies (from the upper floor of the lobby, exit to the west to reach a hallway, then head upstairs to the north and examine the door to the east, and a second door at the end of the hallway to the north)

• Karelia, in the dressing room (from the lower floor of the lobby exit to the west to reach a hallway, then enter the first door to the left).

Interact with these three NPCs and peek through these three doors, then return to the lobby and you should trigger a scene that advances the play. Repeat this process during act one and act two (yes, you’ll have to run around and interact with these points of interest three times each) and when you return to the lobby late in the third act Manager Balsamo will tell you about an intruder.

Head upstairs and exit to the east to reach the eastern balconies for a scene. From this point on you’re just watching the story play out until the end of the chapter, and you won’t regain control until the second day of Chapter 3. Lots of chatter ahead, so enjoy it!
