How to Start Hunting For Ingredients¶
Hunting For Ingredients is a request in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, which you can pick up on Chapter 1 Day 1. To start this quest you just need to sit through all the chatter at the start of the day, and when you finally gain control of your characters, investigate the computer in the SSS HQ to accept this request.
Once you’ve got the details from the computer, make your way to West Street and enter Morges Bakery. Behind the counter you’ll find this request’s client, Oscar.
How to Complete Hunting For Ingredients¶
Another forgetful client, Oscar will need to be reminded of his request before he’ll give you details. There’s a bit of a stock shortage, and he needs you to fill the supply gap by acquiring four Fish Filets and three Monster Eggs… not sure what kind of bread Oscar’s baking, but a job’s a job.
There’s more to this request than initially meets the eye. Head upstairs to the north and talk to Bennet, who is in a bit of a competition with Oscar. A competition Oscar doesn’t seem to be aware of. In any event, you’ll agree to help her out, too, while adding two Monster Eggs to your workload. While optional, you’ll get +3 Detective Points for giving Bennet the Monster Eggs she wants, so be sure to talk to her to start this sub0objective, and when you have the necessary resources (3x Fish Filets and 5x Monster Eggs) be sure to give Bennet her Monster Eggs before you talk to Oscar.

How to Find Fish Filets¶
In order to satisfy Oscar’s demands and finish this request you’ll need to find Fish Filets. There are two ways to obtain them at this point in the game:

Have Tio attempt to cook some Crispy Fry. If she fails you’ll get Cat Food. Feed this catastrophic crime against the culinary arts to Coppe atop the SSS HQ and it’ll give you 3x Fish Filets. You could have done this during the Prologue, in which case you’ll be set. If you have to feed Coppe Cat Food during Chapter 1, you’ll do so at the expense of feeding it some fish, which otherwise would have earned you some Quartz… albeit some common Quartz that you could get elsewhere, but still.

Wait until you reach [Ursula Road] later in the day. The [Backlash] enemies that dwell there have a good chance of dropping Fish Filets.
Monster Eggs drop from various foes in the East Crossbell Highway and the Old Armorica Road areas.
How to Find Monster Eggs¶
Monster Eggs come from monsters. Fortunately they’re plentiful in both the [East Crossbell Highway] and [Old Armorica Road] areas, both of which you’ll explore during Chapter 1 Day 1. You can get them from [Egg Snakes] and [Metal Saucers] in the [East Crossbell Highway] area, and from [Golden Axe] enemies in the [Old Armorica Road] area.

Request Rewards¶
Once you have what you need - a bare minimum of 3x Fish Filets and 3x Monster Eggs to satisfy Oscar, and an additional 2x Monster Eggs for Bennet - return to Morges Bakery on West Street and talk to Bennet first. This will earn you a hidden +3 Detective Points. After Bennet has been appeased, give Oscar his ingredients to complete the request.
