The Bad Frogger enemy

Bad Frogger Location¶

One of the optional tasks in Trails from Zero is completing the Combat Notebook, of which you’ll get several rewards throughout the game at certain milestones from the CPD. Many of the enemies that you can encounter are one-time encounters (such as bosses) and you’ll want to make sure that you scan every single one for a Trophy/Achievement.

Even more troublesome, is that some enemies won’t show as enemies on the field areas, instead, there’s a chance they may be encountered when triggering battles with other enemies. The Bad Frogger is one such enemy.

The Bad Frogger spawns exclusively in company of Helmet Hunter enemies.

As you travel through Old Armorica Road, you may notice an enemy, Helmet Hunter, a flying insect which is, on its own, not terribly interesting. You’ll encounter these enemies throughout Old Armorica Road and when you go into battle with them, there’s a chance that the Bad Frogger may appear alongside them. This is purely RNG, so you may need to fight several before you finally encounter one, just make sure you’re ready with a Battle Scope or Analyze when you finally do encounter one.

The best place to spawn Helmet Hunters - and hence, Bad Froggers - is at the northern end of the second screen of the Old Armorica Road, near the area transition to the third screen. From said area transition, just head south to spot a Helmet Hunter buzzing away near a chest that contains a piece of Mute Quartz. Decapitate the Helmet Hunters and if a Bad Frogger spawns, great! Scan it, kill it, and move on. If not, zone out to the third area and zone back in, kill the Helmet Hunters again, repeat as necessary.
