Horizon Zero Dawn

Demand and Supply

At the dock in Meridian Village, two men are arguing over their work, when you stroll up and they ask you to get some specific parts. One asks for a Snapmaw Lens, while the other asks for a Longleg Lens. After putting an end to their constant bickering, you decide to retrieve both parts for them. The markers direct you to two sites where you can retrieve both Lens, but you can get them anywhere. In fact, the easiest way to complete this Errand is to go to the city of Meridian and buy the two Lens from the Machine Resources merchant; the Snapmaw Lens costs 330 Metal Shards, while the Longleg Lens costs 320 Metal Shards.

If you don’t feel like doing that and want to hunt them the old-fashioned way, there are multiple locations in which to hunt the required Machines. For Snapmaws, take the northeastern exit and at the very first split you come across (past the Royal Maizelands), go southeast until you see a campfire. From that very campfire, you will come across a Snapmaw Site by heading northeast. These Snapmaws may have a protective covering over their Blaze Canisters, so a few shots from your Sharpshot Bow should remove that, letting you hit it with a fire arrow for major damage.

You might already have some Lens on you (left). If you have the extra shards, you can purchase both Lens in Meridian (right).

For Longlegs, there is an easier spot than the one given to you. Take the northern exit in Meridian and go straight north when the path splits, taking you to Cut-Cliffs. Continue going northeast and you will come across a campfire, with a Longleg Site being right next to it. Shock is the main weakness of the Longleg, so if you don’t have shock arrows, use Shock Wires. You want to kill them quickly, so they don’t get the chance to call in reinforcements. With both Lens, go back to the duo in Meridian Village to finish.
