Pigments

Just like the main campaign, The Frozen Wilds also includes collectibles for you to find across the map, such as the Pigments you can pick up and take back to Sekuli in Song’s Edge to trade for rewards.

You can speak to her quite early on in the DLC’s questline during ‘For the Werak’, where she’ll ask you to find the pigments. There are 9 altogether, some of which can be found during completion of the questline, and some that you may have to go off the linear path for.

The pigments consist of 3 salts, 3 crystals, and 3 oxides.

1) Pigment – Light Salt

Just outside of the Song’s Edge settlement is a hot spring. There’s a small camp set up here and even a Shaman that you can speak to for a side quest. You’ll find the salt pigment on a tall rock with a yellow paint-like substance on it.

2) Pigment – Medium Salt

At the Stone Yield bandit camp, you’ll find the pigment at the top of some springs. Just make sure to clear it out first.

3) Pigment – Dark Salt

In the centre of the map are some hot springs not far from the bandit camp. East of the springs is where you’ll find the pigment; there are two Scrappers prowling the area, so you’ll know when you’re in the right place.

4) Pigment – Light Crystal

During the final challenge of the ‘For the Werak’ quest, you’ll be fighting against three Frostclaws. When the fight is over, climb the central rock platform to find the pigment next to a tree.

5) Pigment – Medium Crystal

North of the bandit camp, you’ll find this pigment on the mountain. Head for the cliffs opposite the hot springs where you’ll find some handholds to climb – take these to the top. The pigment will be located just before you have any chance of running into the Frostclaw or any other machines in the area.

6) Pigment – Dark Crystal

This pigment lies at the top of the mountain in the centre of the map. In order to get there, you have to climb the north side of the mountain as opposed to going through the Frostclaw site in the middle. Go along the left side of the bottom of the mountain until you find a passageway. There’ll be a rock formation to climb, so follow the handholds, and a long yellow wire along the side of the mountain, until you reach the very top.

7) Pigment – Light Oxide

During The Shaman’s Path quest, you can pick this one up on the way to finding Ourea’s retreat in the mountains. Just follow the quest in a linear fashion until you reach a wooden bridge that you have to activate yourself. When you kick down the ladder and follow the stream around to some handholds in the rock, the pigment will be next to a small supply crate, highlighted by a purple resource symbol.

8) Pigment – Medium Oxide

When you first begin the ‘Firebreak’ quest, you have to travel to Longnotch for the first time. Along the way, throughout defeating control towers and such, you’ll eventually follow the path along a frozen river. Keep a look out for the pigment based on the edge of the river to your right as you go – it should be easy to spot.

9) Pigment – Dark Oxide

You can find this final pigment in the west of the map, a little ways from Deep Din. You’ll come across a frozen lake with a small Banuk fishing camp. There are some rocks to the left of the camp, just on the edge of the woods, where you’ll find the pigment.

Once you have all of the pigments, you’ll receive the trophy for All Pigments Found!
