Most of the items and equipment in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes are straightforward, as you either buy them, find them in chests, or have them drop from enemies. However, a few of them are a bit tricky, like the Rune of Clairvoyance, which is gotten from an NPC named Sayid Ali. You will find this NPC throughout the game, in set locations, but you won’t be able to get the Rune until after you complete the main story. The first spot you’ll find Sayid Ali is on the palace grounds in Hishahn.
Rune of Clairvoyance Location¶
As mentioned above, you will be able to find Sayid Ali throughout the game, in various locations. Some of these are related to the main story, so if you don’t find him at a specific spot, then progress the story a little more and check again. Once you do see him, simply speak to him and if the game transitions into a little cutscene, then that will trigger that part and you can move onto the next.

For the most part, you should be able to find Sayid Ali when you first arrive at the targeted town during the story (in the set order above, of course). The only times that might be different is the second time at your Headquarters and Eltisweiss. It’s not clear when he appears the second time at your HQ, and it’s more than likely that the meeting in Eltisweiss occurs after you liberate it towards the end of the game. The final confrontation at your HQ cannot be done until you clear the main story and load up your clear save data.
The second meeting at your HQ will have Sayid Ali give you a Rune of Radiance, which is the second tier of Light magic. The third meeting is when he will give you the Rune of Clairvoyance, which is the only way to get this item in the game.
