Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Hogan Recruitment Guide

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You’ll come across a lot of characters while traversing the world in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Some of these characters are as easy to recruit as simply talking to them, while others require you to do something more. Hogan is someone you will first meet in Twinhorne West and he will ask you earn 50,000 baqua in profit through trading before he will join you.

You will find Hogan on the pier at Twinhorne West.

Hogan’s Location

As mentioned above, you will be able to find Hogan in the town of Twinhorne West, which is located in the same area as Athrabalt. Normally, you don’t really go there, except for a small story segment, but you can visit the town as soon as you pass through Yarnaan and reach the region. You will find Hogan standing on the docks, a little to the left of when you first enter the town.

Speak to him and he will mention that he wants you to earn 50,000 baqua from trading. It should be clear that this threshold will only start as soon as you talk to him, so it doesn’t matter if you’ve gotten 1,000,000 from trading prior to speaking to him. The trading system is a bit confusing, as the arrows you see at the various posts aren’t really indicative of anything. In fact, you can safely ignore those arrows, since the prices at each trading post are pretty set in stone.

The arrows you see just show the variance of the base price at each trading post. So, with that knowledge, you need to figure out where to purchase items at a low price and where to go to sell them at a higher price than you initially bought them. Thankfully, if you wish to have more guidance on trading, visit the Trading System Explained page. A good breakdown of some of the better items for trading is below:

(1 of 3) Finding the higher ticket items can prove to be difficult.

Item Where to Buy Where to Sell
Pink Coral Hishahn Athrabalt
Pearl Hishahn Athrabalt
Diamond Werne Village Ardinale City
Painting Twinhorne West and Ardinale City Twinhorne East
Carving Twinhorne West and Ardinale City Impershi’arc

Note that as you get closer and closer to the 50,000 goal, Hogan will change what he says. So, if you want to check with him if you’re close enough, then you can head to Twinhorne West and speak with him there. Otherwise, once you’ve hit the threshold, you talk to him again and he will join your army!
