The Vanguard talent is a special talent used only by the Vanguard class in Mass Effect 1 which increases Biotic Protection and raises the damage of Pistols and Shotguns. At talent level 7, the Vanguard can specialize in either Nemesis or Shock Trooper, unlocking the other levels and abilities from 7-12.
