This Assignment takes place during during the core mission in Feros. You’ll need to clear the initial Geth Attack before this Assignment can be accepted.
You’ll find Macha Doyle at the entrance of Zhu’s Hope.
How to Begin¶
Once you head to Feros to investigate the Geth, you’ll be ambushed by the Geth. Once you’ve driven them away from Zhu’s Hope, you’ll be able to speak to Fai Dan once more to learn more about the colony. After speaking with him, go to the entrance of Zhu’s Hope to find Macha who will offer the Assignment.
Find Water Valves¶
Once accepted, make your way north out of Zhu’s Hope and ignore the elevator to the Prothean Skyway, instead heading to the end of the path and taking the stairs down to the bottom to reach the tunnels. Once you enter the tunnels themselves, head right at the first intersection and then into the passageway to the left.

You’ll need to deal with some Geth and once the coast is clear, look on the right from where you entered the passageway to find the first Valve. The next Valve can be found at the end of the same passageway, just before you take the exit on your right. You’ll need to head to the next passageway further north, dealing with more Geth, to find the final Valve. Once you’ve activated all three, make your way back to Zhu’s Hope and deliver the news to Macha to complete the Assignment.
