The Adept talent is a special talent used only by the Adept class in Mass Effect 1 which reduces the cooldown of biotic powers and increases protection against biotic damage. At talent level 7, the Adept can specialize in either Bastion or Nemesis, unlocking the other levels and abilities from 7-12.

| 2 | Reduces the recharge time on biotic talents by 6%. Increases your biotic protection by 9%. |
| 3 | Reduces the recharge time on biotic talents by 8%. Increases your biotic protection by 12%. |
| 4 | Reduces the recharge time on biotic talents by 10%. Increases your biotic protection by 15%. . |
| 5 | Reduces the recharge time on biotic talents by 12%. Increases your biotic protection by 18%. |
| 6 | Reduces the recharge time on biotic talents by 14%. Increases your biotic protection by 21%. |
| 7 | Unlocks Bastion or Nemesis. |
