This Assignment takes place during your first visit to the Citadel once you have met the council for the first time.
Head to the Casino in Flux to begin this Assignment.
How to Begin¶
In order to begin this Assignment, you’ll have to have first gained access to the Wards after you have met the council for the first time. At this point, make your way down to the Upper Wards and head into Flux. Head upstairs here to the Casino and make your way to the back of the room to spot a Suspicious Gambling Machine. Upon examining it, you’ll discover that someone has rigged the machine to funnel Credits and you’ll begin tracking it.
Track the Signal¶
You’ll now have to visit several points around the Citadel to trace the signal back to its source. To begin your search, make your way back to the Wards Access by heading east from Flux and taking the door back towards the Presidium. Once in the Wards Access, head to the room just east of the elevator to the Presidium and you’ll located the first signal.

Follow Signal to the Presidium¶
Your next destination hints towards the Presidium itself, take the nearby elevator back up and then head over to the Financial District and into Barla Von’s office in the Bank, the second signal can be found at the back of the room.
Continue Tracking¶
The final destination points to the Emporium here on the Presidium, which also conveniently happens to be right next door from your current location. Head over and into the back room to find the final location, being sure to Save your game before interacting with it. After learning more about the rogue AI, you’ll be given a few choices with how to stop it:
- You can simply shoot the device to cause it to shut down, with the resulting explosion causing some damage to your Squad members however you’ll receive no Credits as a result.
- Alternatively, you can shut down the AI by playing a simple minigame, this route. The correct sequence of buttons are as follows:
- Y, X, Y, A, X, A, A (Xbox)
- Triangle, Square, Triangle, X, Square, X, X (PS4/5)
On top of stopping the explosion, you’ll obtain a reward in Credits based on the time it took to complete it.
