This Assignment can be accepted at any point after you gain access to the Galaxy Map for the first time. It takes place on an Uncharted Planet that you must explore with the Mako.

How to Begin¶

There are two ways to begin this Assignment, with the earliest being from Feros:

• While at the ExoGeni Headquarters on Feros, you’ll find a Terminal you can hack on the top floor. Once hacked, you’ll gain the report and begin the Assignment under the name Investigate Samples.

• Alternatively, you can make your way to the Matano system in the Maroon Sea star cluster after the events of Feros. Once there, land on the planet Chasca and follow the walkthrough below, the Assignment will begin after searching the first facility.

Search for Clues¶

Regardless of how you accept this Assignment, make your way over to the Matano system of the Maroon Sea cluster and land on the planet Chasca. Once planetside, take a look at your map to discover three structures of interest to the southwest. Make your way towards the northern Civilian Structure first and once inside, you’ll be ambushed by a group of Husks. You’ve dealt with plenty of them by this point but still, use caution and back into the entrance, luring them into your path and dispatching them with ease. Once the area is clear, you’ll discover there are no clues to be had here so loot the containers and then make your way down to the southern Civilian Structure.

You’ll need to put down some Husks outside before you can park the Mako and enter the structure. Once again, there will be a Husk ambush for you to contend, use the same tactics as the first structure and clear this structure. Once again, no clues other than the fate of the civilians themselves as husks so take the time to loot the area and then return to the Mako once more.

This leaves just the Science Station as your final port of call, make your way to the facility, killing more Husks along the way and enter. Once again, expect Husk presence in the main room, thankfully you can easily back up into the entrance and lure them towards you. Once the room is clear, head to the back of the station and enter the room on the right to locate some loot and a terminal, detaling the fate of the colonists and what went down here, completing the Assignment.
