This Assignment takes place during your second visit to the Citadel once you have completed any main mission off-world such as Liara’s Dig Site and have completed the Reporter’s Request Assignment.

How to Begin¶

Once you’ve completed any main mission once you become a Spectre and leave the Citadel, and have completed the Reporter’s Request Assignment from Emily Wong during your first visit, you’ll find she has a new task for you. Make your way to the Citadel Tower and head towards the stairs leading to the Council Chambers to find Emily Wong waiting for you once more. There are two ways you can go about completing this Assignment.

Plant the Bugs¶

As mentioned above, you have control over how you complete this Assignment with this being the most obvious but with the least rewards. Ironically enough, this one requires a little more work on your behalf but requires no Charm or Intimidate to complete unlike the other method. After agreeing to assist her, use the Citadel Rapid Transit and take it to C-Sec. Once there, head up to Traffic Control on the west side to find the perfect location just to the east of the Keeper there. Once done, make your way back to Emily and speak to her, you’ll be given a few choices:

1. Saying “It’s a good cause.” or “You’re welcome.” will earn you XP, Credits and +2 Paragon.
2. Saying “This was the last time.” will result in XP and Credits only.

Charm or Intimidate Emily¶

The alternative method requires an investment of Charm or Intimidate points but can be completed on the spot with much greater rewards. Speak to Emily once again after accepting the Assignment and you’ll be given some new choices:

1. Saying “I’ve changed my mind.” (4 points of Charm) will result in you insisting people will lose their jobs and earn +8 Paragon along with XP and Credits.
2. Saying “[LIE] I already did it.“ (5 points of Intimidate) will result in you convincing her you already did it and earn +9 Renegade along with XP and Credits. You’ll also obtain +10 Omni-Gel.
