Xawin¶
To land on Xawin, you’ll need to search the system nearby to find the MSV Majesty. Find it, scan it, and you’ll be led to Xawin. This is all connected to the assignment UNC: Privateers.
This icy planet (Level 1 Cold Hazard) has a lot going on, surprisingly. Along with the various collectibles (Turian Insignia, Heavy Metal, Light Metal), you can find a Geth Beacon in the northeastern corner of the operational area. When you approach, you’ll be ambushed by several Geth Armatures, which you can smash for some XP.
In the southwestern corner of the operational area you’ll find some debris, and the flat(ish) depression around it should be cause for suspicion. Sure enough, when you approach you’ll be attacked by a Thresher Maw. Defeat it for the privilege of looting a Crashed Probe, which will yield some loot.
Finally, in the northwestern corner of the map you’ll find Mercenary Camp, which is surrounded by Heavy Turrets and ground troops, including Snipers. Pick them off with the Mako, then invade the structure and put down the mercenaries within. Be sure to investigate Captain Willem’s body on the top floor to update the assignment UNC: Privateers.
