This Assignment can be accepted at any point after you deal with the event’s at Noveria’s Rift Station. It takes place on an Uncharted Planet that you must explore with the Mako.

You’ll find Listening Post Theta on the planet Altahe in the Acheron system of Styx Theta.

How to Begin¶

Before you can begin this Assignment and gain access to the star cluster it is situated in, you must complete the events at Noveria’s Rift Station. Once completed, make your way to the Acheron system in the Styx Theta cluster.

Head to the Listening Post¶

Once you’ve accepted the Assigment, head to the Acheron system and land on the planet Altahe. Once planetside, make your way to the far south to locate the Listening Post. As you approach it, you’ll see Rachni Nests around the area, drive towards them and dispatch the Rachni Soldiers that come crawling out of them before parking the Mako and entering the base.

Once inside, make your way to the main room where you’ll encounter horde of Rachni consisting of two Rachni Soldiers and a group of Rachni Workers. The Workers should pose little threat so long as you don’t allow yourself to be swarmed, then keep your distance from the Soldiers and be ready to heal if you find yourself infliced with the Toxic status. As far as Rachni encounters go, this is one of the lesser threats in the game.

With the base clear of any hostiles, head to the back and you’ll find a room with loot to the left and in the room to the right, you’ll come across a Terminal. Upon examining the logs, you’ll locate the depot from where these Rachni originiated from, beginning the Assignment UNC: Depot Sigma-23 (this won’t be visible in the Journal yet). This will also add and complete this current Assignment.
