This Assignment can be accepted at any point after you defeat the Thorian on Feros. It takes place on an Uncharted Planet that you must explore with the Mako.

You can begin this Assignment by hacking a terminal on Feros (left), or simply head to the Vostok system and head to Nodacrux. (right)

How to Begin¶

There are two ways to begin this Assignment, with the earliest being from Feros:

• While at the ExoGeni Headquarters on Feros, you’ll find a Terminal you can hack. Once hacked, you’ll gain the report and begin the Assignment under the name Investigate Facility.

• Alternatively, you can make your way to the Vostok system in the Maroon Sea star cluster after the events of Feros. Once there, land on the planet Nodacrux and follow the walkthrough below, the Assignment will begin upon entering the system.

Explore Colony¶

Regardless of how you accept this Assignment, make your way over to the Vostok system of the Maroon Sea cluster and land on the planet Nodacrux. Once planetside, make your way to the Science Facility located to the southeast. Along the way, you’ll notice the odd Thorian Creeper here and there, feel free to take them out for some easy XP and then park and enter the facility.

Once inside the facility, make your way into the main room and you’ll be ambushed by a group of Thorian Creepers, these are simple to bait so shoot at one to get its attention and then back up towards the entrance to lure them towards you, using Biotics to disable them if they get too close. Once the room is clear, enter the room on the left to find the scientists who sent out the distress call, you’ll have the following options after some chatter:

1. Saying “I can’t do that.” will result in a firefight and earn +8 Paragon.
2. Saying “Okay.” will end the Assignment without a firefight and earn Credits.
3. Saying “I should kill you right now!” will result in a firefight and earn +9 Renegade.

Unless you’re taking the bribe, you’ll have to fight your way out of the room. They’re unremarkable and the mercenaries are you basic grunts you’ve had a lot of practice with already, the scientists themselves should go down with a bullet or two. The Assignment will officially complete after this but don’t forget to search both this room and the room opposite for loot before returning to the Normandy.
