This Assignment can be accepted at any point after you gain access to the Galaxy Map for the first time. It takes place on an Uncharted Planet that you must explore with the Mako and requires the completion of UNC: Missing Marines and UNC: Cerberus.

This Assignment takes place on the planet Nepheron in the Columbia System.

How to Begin¶

Before you can begin this Assignment, you must first complete the Assignment UNC: Missing Marines by speaking to Admiral Kahoku on the Citadel and the follow-up, UNC: Cerberus.

Destroy Main Cerberus Facility¶

With the Assignment accepted, make your way to the Columbia System in the Voyager Cluster, there, head to the planet Nepheron. Once planetside, be sure to take at least one Biotic on your squad and then drive the Mako to the southwest to find the Underground Facility. As you approach the base, you’ll have to contend with four Cerberus Operatives, two with snipers and two with anti-tank weaponry so keep your distance and use the main cannon of the Mako to make short work of them.

Once inside, make your way to the main room and you’ll encounter a total of five Commandos and three Snipers, of which will usually stay to the back of the room. This can be deadly if you rush in so put up Barrier if you have it and then attempt to lure the enemies to your position near the entrance. This is where the Biotics shine, using Singularity, Lift and Throw can disable your foes as they rush you, allowing you to calmly pick them off. It can help to have a squad member like Wrex to soak up the damage too while you stand back.

Once the room is clear, head to the back of the base and enter the room on the right. You’ll find four Storage Lockers (Easy Decryption), a Medical Station (Easy Decryption) and an Upgrade Kit waiting to be plundered. With the loot gathered, head into the other room now and you’ll locate a terminal which will complete the Assignment.

What to do with the Cerberus data¶

Despite the Assignment being cleared, you’ll have one more thing to deal with once you get back to the Normandy. You’ll be contacted by an agent for the Shadow Broker. Choosing to turn over the data will result in earning Credits and +9 Renegade while refusing will result in earning +8 Paragon.
