There are several resources you can gather for cooking and crafting in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but some of them can be difficult to find. Unfortunately, you won’t come across Shaded Waterweeds naturally on your travels as they’re hidden within Tranquility Bulbs. Where to Find Shaded Waterweeds in Avatar¶
Shaded Waterweeds can only be found in the second region, known as the Upper Plains, so you’ll need to progress through the story until you have completed the 11th main mission, The Wandering Clan. You’ll now want to start looking for shallow water as this is where Shaded Waterweed resides, but we’ve found them more commonly by looking inside Tranquility Bulbs which are scattered around The Celebration Valley sub-region. When you come across Shaded Waterweeds you’ll want to harvest it by pulling the analog stick to the left to keep it pristine.
What are Shaded Waterweeds Used for in Avatar¶
There are Fine, Superior, and Exquisite versions of Shaded Waterweeds, but the higher qualities aren’t easy to come across. These are required to craft a variety of weapons and will provide the added effect of increased damage toward Wildlife, so you’ll want to make sure you include this on your weapons because you’ll need to do a lot of hunting throughout your adventure.

How to Get Exquisite Shaded Waterweeds in Avatar¶
If you want to increase your chances of getting the best stats when crafting your new weapons, then you’ll want to try and find Exquisite Shaded Waterweeds. You’ll have a better chance of finding them by looking inside of Tranquility Bulbs which are sitting underneath floating mountains. We’ve managed to come across multiple Exquisite Quality Shaded Waterweeds in the Step’s Cradle sub-region of the Upper Plains. Alternatively, you can just purchase them from the merchant in the Zeswa Clan Home, also located in the Upper Plains region, but this will require you to use up some of your Favor.
