There are a variety of different resources in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, many of which you will need for one reason or another. A lot of materials are needed to craft new weapons or armor, but there are a few that are needed for quests or something else. One such example is the Dawnsheen Branch, in which you need an Exquisite version to unlock an Apex Skill. This page will talk about where to find the Dawnsheen Branch, as well as where to find an Exquisite version of it.
Dawnsheen Branches are usually only found in the Clouded Forest.
Where to Find Dawnsheen Branches in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora¶
If you’re just looking for any Dawnsheen Branches, then you only have to search in one biome of the Clouded Forest. Specifically, you’re looking in the Boulderlands biome of that region, as per the Hunter’s Guide. It should be noted that while the Dawnsheen Branch is largely a Clouded Forest exclusive material, it is possible to find Fine variants before you have access to that area. If you head to the upper cliffs of the southwestern section of the Upper Plains, you will likely come across some of the trees there. The trees with these branches do tend to be at higher elevations, though, in case you are searching at ground level and not seeing them.
What is the Dawnsheen Branch Used for in Avatar?¶
Like all of the other branches in the game, the Dawnsheen Branch is mainly used in the crafting of longbows. Considering its lateness in acquiring, due to being in the Clouded Forest, it’s one of the better options for crafting. Additionally, you will need to procure any version of the branch for the Welcoming Hearth Na’vi Camp, where you just drop it in the basket there for the Community Contributions quest. However, that’s not the end of it all, as there is one more use, which is to unlock the Maker tree’s Apex Skill. You will need an Exquisite variant of the Dawnsheen Branch here, which is only gotten from a single area of the Clouded Forest.
Where to Find Superior/Exquisite Dawnsheen Branches¶
You can only find the Superior and Exquisite versions of the Dawnsheen Branches in a single area, which is located in the Clouded Forest. Specifically, you will be going to the Stone Sentinels, found in the southwestern corner of the Cradling Pines area. Now, this place can be dangerous, as you’re heading to the upper reaches of it and there’s a Stormglider patrolling the skies near the western/northern half. Thankfully, you won’t need to get close to it, as the Dawnsheen Trees can also be found on the opposite half.

Depending on the time of day, you can actually see the Dawnsheen Trees from a decent distance, so locating them isn’t a problem. Don’t forget about using your Na’vi Sense to see which ones are a higher quality. The trees with the branches you want will be at higher elevations, so start from the top and work your way down the cliffside. As is the case with most materials in the game, you can improve the quality of the Dawnsheen Branch by pulling it to the left when breaking it off of the tree. Additionally, you will want to gather them during the rain, so pass time at a nearby camp until you get rain.
