Some materials in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are easy to find but may be confusing on how to gather them. One material that falls into this category is the Fortune’s Fruit, as it is quite common to find, once you know where to look. However, Fortune’s Fruit has an unorthodox way of collecting it, so you may be confused about how to do that. This page will focus on detailing the locations of the Fortune’s Fruit, as well as how to harvest them.

Where to Find the Fortune’s Fruit in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora¶
The plant that houses the Fortune’s Fruit is relatively common and you’ve probably passed by it plenty of times, or even possibly already scanned it. That plant is called the Fortune Leaf Cane and it’s prevalent in the Big Leaf Biome of the Kinglor Forest. These are tall bamboo-like trees that have large leaves that are a purple-blue color. You might usually find them near cliffsides, but it’s possible to find them in the middle of open areas.
The Fortune’s Fruit, the material you’re reading this page for, can be found on the Fortune Leaf Cane trees. Not all of them will contain the fruit, so you’ll need to use your Na’vi Sense to locate the ones that do. Depending on where the tree is located will call for different measures in collecting the fruits on it.

Fortune’s Fruit Uses¶
The Fortune’s Fruit is primarily a cooking ingredient that grants the Hearty I buff, which increases your health while the buff is active. If you use Fortune’s Fruit as the main ingredient and a Yoten Egg as a second, you can create the Fortune’s Pastry specialty dish. Additionally, the Haven on the Ridge Na’vi Camp will require a Fortune’s Fruit as a contribution, as part of the Aranahe Community Contributions side quest.
How to Harvest the Fortune’s Fruit¶
So, you’ve found the Fortune’s Fruit hanging from a tree, but when you try to pluck it, you aren’t getting the normal button prompt. That’s because the Fortune’s Fruit requires a different way of gathering it. If you check your Hunter’s Guide, you will see “Na’vi grab these fruits while leaping from great heights, using the large leaves of the plant to slow their fall”. Using that little tidbit of knowledge, you should have all you need to know to harvest these fruits.

However you harvest the fruits, the leaves will slow your fall, so you won’t be taking fall damage while getting these. In fact, once you start falling, you only really have to guide yourself to the leaves, as you don’t have to press any buttons to grab the fruits on the way down. For the ones next to a cliff, you can just jump off of a cliff. However, you will need to use your Ikran to get at the ones in the middle of an area. Just fly to the top of the tree, then stop moving and dismount from there.
Where to Find Superior/Exquisite Fortune’s Fruits¶
Thankfully, you don’t have to go to any specific locations in order to find the Superior and Exquisite equivalents of the Fortune’s Fruit. The only thing you will need to do is simply go higher up the trees. Of course, you can always use your Na’vi Sense to see what quality a fruit will be before you try to harvest it. It should also be mentioned that you’ll likely obtain multiples of these fruits each time you go after them, especially at the top of the trees, so make sure you have room in your inventory before going after them.
