What is the Owl Perch in Fire Emblem Three Hopes?¶
Once you start Chapter 4 and unlock the Base Camp, you’ll find an Owl Perch just outside your Personal Quarters. There probably won’t be very much going on during your first visit, but after clearing several battles (both Main Quests and Side Quests count - repeating the same battle(s) can cause the Messenger Owl to spawn) a Messenger Owl will pay your Owl Perch a visit.
When you find the Messenger Owl perched outside your Personal Quarters, interact with it and it’ll drop an Owl Feather, a Gift item you can give to one of your companions. Everybody you recruit will greatly appreciate an Owl Feather, for whatever reason, earning two Support arrows. Unfortunately, since only Shez can give Gifts you can only use this to boost the Support Ranks of other characters and Shez. On the other hand, Shez has access to more Supports and more Support Ranks than almost any other character in the game, so she could definitely use the help maxing these out.
When the Messenger Owl is at the Owl Perch, an owl icon will appear over the Base Camp. Convenient!
As you complete battles, just be sure to check the Owl Perch periodically and collect Owl Feathers as the Messenger Owl deposits them. The Base Camp on your map will even have a little owl icon over it when the Messenger Owl is at the Owl Perch, so you don’t even have to return to the Base Camp after every battle.
