As The Destined One reaches the final stages of his journey, he must navigate the vast expanse of Mount Huaguo during the Unfinished chapter. As you may expect at this late stage of the adventure, you’re going to face a lot of bosses here, many optional, but some that are required to reach the final destination. Keep reading to learn how to find all of the bosses in Chapter 6 of Black Myth: Wukong.

Where to Find All Chapter 6 Bosses

As mentioned above, there are 14 bosses (although the first form of the final boss won’t go in your journal) that can be accessed during the final Chapter, most of which happens in the same area (save for the secret bosses on Mount Mei).

Supreme Celestial Inspector

This is the first boss you’ll encounter in Chapter 6, near the start, and you can’t miss it at all. This can be a challenging encounter, but once you beat it, you’ll obtain the usual materials but, more importantly, the "Somersault Cloud" iconSomersault Cloud, a new Transformation. This will allow you to fly around the region of Chapter 6, which is handy because it’s massive and there are many hidden bosses.

Poison Chief

The Poison Chief is a bit of an odd one when it comes to knocking out bosses in Chapter 6, as you’ll be able to find four versions of it throughout The Foothills. Fortunately, if you’re only looking to fill out your journal though, you only need to defeat one instance of them to record it. The easiest one to find is the one from where you defeat the "Supreme Celestial Inspector" iconSupreme Celestial Inspector, near the Verdant Shrine. Simply fly up to the northwest of your location (use your map to help navigate) to find it and upon defeat, it will drop a "Mind Core" iconMind Core, "Cold Iron Leaves" iconCold Iron Leaves, and a "Fine Gold Thread" iconFine Gold Thread.

(1 of 2) The Poison Chief can be fought in four different locations in the Foothills.

Water-Wood Beast

Next on the list is the "Water-Wood Beast" iconWater-Wood Beast, this overgrown hippo can be found in the waters to the southwest of the Poison Chief near the Supreme Celestial Inspector. If you’re looking at your map and have revealed the majority of it, the pool of water can be found to the far southwest. Once defeat, the Water-Wood Beast will drop a Mind Core and "Refined Iron Sand" iconRefined Iron Sand.

Jiao-Loong of Waves

The final Loong of Black Myth: Wukong can be found by heading the other direction from the first Poison Chief, to the northeast, in a small pool of water, you must get off the cloud for it to rise out of the water. Once you defeat it, you’ll obtain a Mind Core, a "Waterward Orb" iconWaterward Orb, some Fine Gold Thread, and a Cold Iron Leaves.

(1 of 2) Jiao-Loong of Waves is also on a pool of water, northeast of the first Poison Chief.

Lang-Baw-Baw

The final frog, containing the final "Tadpole" iconTadpole for your Spirits, can be found here, and you can find it by heading to the center of the northern stretches of this piece of land. You can expect to deal with many celestial court soldiers during this battle too, although they will be attacking "Lang-Baw-Baw" iconLang-Baw-Baw too. Once defeated, you’ll obtain a Tadpole, a "Celestial Birthstone Fragment" iconCelestial Birthstone Fragment, some Fine Gold Thread, and Cold Iron Leaves.

Son of Stones

The latest in the line of “Stones” bosses, this one can be found while on the way to the "Giant Shigandang" iconGiant Shigandang (see below), but as a general rule, fly over to the west side of the map, around the center, to find it overlooking a cliff. Once you put down the final Stones monster, you’ll obtain a Mind Core, Cold Iron Leaves, and some Fine Gold Thread.

(1 of 2) The Son of Stones is located on top of a cliff to the west.

Giant Shigandang

Before you can set off to find the Giant "Shigandang" iconShigandang, you must have worked your way through the rest of the Skandha Quest which involves finding a Skandha in Chapters 1-5. At this point, you’ll be able to fight the Giant Shigandang, which can be found by flying through the valley behind the "Son of Stones" iconSon of Stones, west of the central part of the Foothills. Upon defeat, you’ll obtain the "Skandha of Consciousness" iconSkandha of Consciousness, that you can hand to "Xu Dog" iconXu Dog.

Gold Armored Rhino

The second mandatory boss in Chapter 6, the "Gold Armored Rhino" iconGold Armored Rhino can be found in a patch of land to the northeast. Like with many of the mandatory bosses in Chapter 6, expect two phases to put this beast down and, once defeated, you’ll obtain the "Gold Suozi Armor" iconGold Suozi Armor, the first piece of Sun Wukong’s armor set, along with a Mind Core, Fine Gold Thread, and some more Cold Iron Leaves.

(1 of 2) The Gold Armored Rhino can close the distance on you easily.

Cloudtreading Deer

The next mandatory boss in Chapter 6 that will reward you with a piece of Sun Wukong’s armor is the "Cloudtreading Deer" iconCloudtreading Deer. You’ll find this by heading to the far north of the central part of the Foothills and is much tougher than the Rhino, using ice-based AoE attacks against you. Once defeated, you’ll obtain the "Lotus Silk Cloudtreaders" iconLotus Silk Cloudtreaders and a Mind Core.

Feng-Tail General

This next required boss in Chapter 6 is a rather odd one, as you’ll find this massive creature leaping throughout the region, so fly high up and keep an eye on the central part of the Foothills to spot it. Once you do, fly over and land on its back to technically start the battle. The only goal here is to grab and hold on to the Antennae for three consecutive jumps without your "Stamina" iconStamina being depleted, making it a check on your values (your health will be checked after). After succeeding, you’ll obtain the "Golden Feng-Tail Crown" iconGolden Feng-Tail Crown as your reward, the next piece of Sun Wukong’s set.

(1 of 2) The Feng Tail General will test your maximum Stamina stat.

Emerald-Armed Mantis

Once the other three mandatory bosses (Gold Armored Rhino, Cloudtreading Deer, and "Feng-Tail General" iconFeng-Tail General) have been defeated, you’ll be able to fight the "Emerald-Armed Mantis" iconEmerald-Armed Mantis by heading to the south of the swamp in the Foothills near a large tree (you may already have the Shrine here) to trigger a difficult boss encounter inside "Zhu Bajie" iconZhu Bajie. Once defeated, you’ll obtain the "Dian-Cui Loong-Soaring Bracers" iconDian-Cui Loong-Soaring Bracers, Refined Iron Sand, and a Mind Core. With the armor set now complete, you can head to the Waterfall Curtain Cave to claim the Staff and head towards the game’s final encounter.

Erlang, The Sacred Divinity

You may wish to take a short detour before you head for the final encounter, a battle with Erlang, The Sacred Divinity is the optional super boss for Black Myth: Wukong, found on Mount Mei, the secret area in Chapter 3. To reach and unlock this boss, you must take several steps first so follow our guide on unlocking the chapter 3 secret area to reach him. Just beware that this is the most difficult battle in the game, consisting of three different phases. Your reward for besting him is the "Azure Dome" iconAzure Dome, a new Transformation spell, the "Tri-Point Double-Edged Spear" iconTri-Point Double-Edged Spear, two "Celestial Ribbon" iconCelestial Ribbons, and a "Kun Steel" iconKun Steel.

The Stone Monkey

This is the first of two final bosses in Black Myth: Wukong, and this one won’t be registered in your journal unfortunately. To reach the start of the finale, you must first defeat the four mandatory bosses in The Foothills, (Gold Armored Rhino, Cloudtreading Deer, Feng-Tail General, and the Emerald-Armed Mantis) to collect Sun Wukong’s Armor set. You then need to go through the Waterfall Curtain Cave (to the southwest) to claim the Staff and proceed along the linear path to take the boat over to The Stone Monkey. This challenging encounter has two phases, but fortunately, once you beat it, you’ll be able to return straight to the final boss without having to repeat this fight.

(1 of 3) Erlang is the secret boss of the game.

The Great Sage’s Broken Shell

This is the true final boss that you’ll go straight into after defeating The Stone Monkey, in the same location. If you find yourself low on resources, it may be better to lose at the start of this battle to access the Shrine and prepare accordingly (you’ll start back here, not The Stone Monkey). Just like the previous battle, expect two very difficult phases and, although there are no rewards (beyond finishing the game), whenever you start a New Game+, this entry will get added to your journal.
