There’s tons of equipment to find throughout Black Myth: Wukong, but some of them are missable if you defeat a certain boss before finding it. On this page, we’ll provide you with the necessary steps to obtaining the Auspicious Lantern Curio.

Where to Find All Lantern Wardens¶

Once you’ve defeated Kang-jin Loong in Chapter 3 you’ll find yourself transported to the Pagoda Realm Prison. Here you’ll need to work your way up to the top and defeat Captain Wise-Voice in order to progress the story, but if you want to obtain the Auspicious Lantern Curio, then you’ll need to defeat 8 Lantern Warden’s beforehand. These enemies can only be seen when the chanting begins and you become beguiled and this occurs every few minutes while you’re exploring the prison. If you’re having trouble finding all eight wardens, then you can find their locations below.

The first two Lantern Wardens can be found immediately by exiting the cell and walking along the path to the left, then another two can be found in the area behind the Lower Pagoda Shrine. You’ll now want to work your way up to the third floor to find the fifth Wardens next to the Upper Pagoda Shrine.

Head across the narrow beam and you’ll come across another two Wardens, then make your way up to the very top and instead of going left towards the shrine, head right and drop down to find the final warden. These aren’t the most difficult enemies to deal with, but they will swing their head along the ground which could knock you off, so we recommend keeping your distance and only attacking them a couple of times.

Auspicious Lantern Ability¶

If you’ve killed all of the Lantern Wardens, then you’ll be rewarded with the Auspicious Lantern Curio and this Inflicts the beguilded effect to the bearer while using Cloud Step and moderately increases attack, but massively reduces your maximum health, so only recommend players that are confident at dodging to use this.
