Black Myth: Wukong has some tough encounters, so if you’re struggling to keep your health topped up during battles, then you may want to consider increasing the potency your gourd can heal for via Awaken Worm Wines. On this page, we’ll provide you with the locations of all of the Awaken Worm Wines in the game.

Awaken Worm Wine #1¶
(1 of 2) Start at the Cave Interior Shrine
Start at the Cave Interior Shrine (left), and take a left upon entering the boss arena to find the second Awoken Worm Wine. (right)
Once you’ve defeated the Black Wind King Boss, return to the Cave Interior Shrine in the Black Wind Cave area and then take a left as soon as you enter the boss arena to find a green glowing pot. Attack this to obtain the first Awaken Worm Wine.
Awaken Worm Wine #2¶
(1 of 2) Head to the Valley of Despair Shrine
Head to the Valley of Despair Shrine (left), and you’ll find the second Awaken Worm Wine tucked away in a corner of the nearby shrine. (right)
The second Awaken Worm Wine can be found by starting at the Valley of Despair Shrine in the Yellow Wind Formation area and then proceed into the cave. From here, you’ll want to follow the path opposite where you fought the First Prince of Flowing Sands and then you’ll find a green glowing pot. Destroying this will yield the next worm wine.
Awaken Worm Wine #3¶

This is a simple Awaken Worm Wine to find, simply access the Shen Monkey’s wares during Chapter 3 to discover he has one for sale. If you’ve already obtained the Ryui Scroll and have access to Zodiac Village, you’ll find that he’s moved his services there instead.
Upgrading the Gourd¶
The gourd won’t be upgradable until you’ve come across a friendly NPC named Shen Monkey and he can be found towards the end of chapter 1. If you’re having trouble tracking him down, then check out our Gourd Upgrade System Explained for more information. Once you’ve found Shen Monkey you’ll need to find some Awaken Worm Wines before you can start upgrading the gourds potency. These are typically found inside green glowing pots.
