Black Myth: Wukong is an Action RPG but it has some similarities to a soulslike, such as hidden side quests. You’ll stumble across a drunken pig while exploring the Yellow Wind Ridge and he needs some help sobering up. On this page, we’ll provide you with the necessary steps to acquiring the Sobering Stone and to defeating the Yellow-robed Squire.
Drunken Pig Location¶
Once you reach the Fright Cliff - Rockrest Flat Shrine in Chapter 2, avoid the path which leads to the Stone Vanguard (left) and instead continue onwards to find the Drunken Pig sitting in an open area. Exhaust their dialogue and you’ll learn that they need some help sobering up.
How to Get the Sobering Stone¶
You need to purchase a Sobering Stone before you can continue this side quest and you can only get this by completing the Man in Stone quest. Once you’ve completed the quest, return to the Man in Stone who will now be a merchant and purchase the Sobering Stone for 6,480. If you are struggling for money, then you can try selling any Tiny Piece of Gold you have available. With the Stone in your possession, return and give it to the pig to get him back on his feet and then you’ll need to rendezvous at the Crouching Tiger Temple.
If you haven’t found the temple yet, then you can do so by fast traveling to the Valley of Despair and heading through the cave to the right. On the opposite side of the cave, slide through the small gap in the wall and follow the path along to the right to reach the temple, then head up the stairs and look to the right of the entrance to find the pig. Speak with him and he’ll now request some Juicy Jade Lotus which you should already have on you.
Yellow-Robed Squire Strategy¶
You’ll now need to defeat the First Prince of Flowing Sands who can be found in the same cave to the right of the Valley of Despair Shrine to obtain a Ahrat Gold Piece, then return to the pig back at very first location (Rockrest Flat) and he’ll challenge you to a fight as you have his brothers gold piece. It isn’t an overly challenging battle as it doesn’t have much HP and if you use spells such as immobilize and Cloud Step then you can deal lots of damage against him quickly. However, it has some deadly attacks up its sleeve so we recommend that you keep your distance and keep on the move while only going in for a few hits at a time.
Once you’ve defeated the Yellow-Robed Squire, head through the large double doors to bring this questline to a close and obtain the Gleams of Gold Achievement. Following the cutscene you’ll gain access to the secret area Kingdom of Sahali which contains some optional bosses. We recommend that you defeat these before progressing through the rest of the chapter, as they reward you with the Wind Tamer Item which makes the final boss of chapter 2 easier.
