Best MX9 Loadout in MW2: Best Class, Perks & Attachments

By
Craig Robinson

The MX9 in MW2 is the Aug SMG variant, offering players some incredibly fast movement speed, alongside one of the game’s highest base damages of SMGs. If you’re hard set on playing SMGS in this strange AR meta of the TAQ, M4 and Kastov 762 and 74U, then this SMG will give you the firepower you need to take them out when you get them in close range. Here is a closer look at the best MX9 loadout in MW2 and the best MX9 Class setup in MW2.

Here is a look at the best MX9 Loadout in MW2, and the best MX9 Class Setup too.

Best MX9 Loadout in MW2

The most ideal attachments you need to setup the best MX9 loadout in MW2 is a surprisingly low amount:

  • Magazine: 32 Round Magazine
  • Rear Grip: Bruen 0900 Grip
  • Muzzle: FTAC Castle Compensator

These three attachments are all you need to get the gun rolling. You can take an optional mini red dot or reflex sight if you wish, but the iron sights are okay for short-range gameplay you want to use.

Players need to use the 32-round mag to keep it in line with the 30-round magazine size standard for AR and SMGs. 25 is on the low side, but serviceable, considering the SMG’s damage and rate of fire. However, you will need the extra seven rounds against all the bunny-hopping, drop-shotting and slide-canceling gamers in the sweatier lobbies.

Meanwhile, the Bruen 0900 Rear Grip increases your ADS speed, making this a really fast, aim-in weapon. You then want an FTAC Castle Comp to adjust for the loss of recoil control from the rear grip, keeping the weapon as easy to use as possible.

If you want to, you can add in a lazer to increase ADS speeds, but it is optional and will add extra weight to your gun and slow it down slightly.

Best MX9 Class Setup in MW2

The class you want to make to support the best MX9 loadout in MW2 is as follows:

  • Secondary: .50 GS or Combat Knife
  • Tactical: Flash Grenade or Tear Gas.
  • Lethal: Semtex or Frag Grenade
  • Field Upgrade: Dead Silence or Trophy System

The secondary choice depends on what you want to do. The .50GS offers players the opportunity to do some two-tap kills at range, or one-tap headshots, which is handy, as the MX9 has one of the weaker ranges in the SMG category. Meanwhile, the Combat Knife grants you the best movement speed possible as a secondary for your running around the map or getting away from oncoming semtex and other grenades.

Your tactical is Flash Grenades. Getting a flash grenade on someone, even with Battle Hardened, will blind them for a long time. You can get in and clear them out, or advance up longer distances that your SMG suffers at. Tear Gas is also good for getting a solid spread of vision distorting and coughing, so you know exactly where to aim when you flush an objective.

The lethal of choice is either Frag or Semtex. Semtex is good for quick explosion kills in camper spots or at angles, while grenades can either be cooked to prevent reaction or wall bounce into spots Semtex can’t flush.

Lastly, you want to take the Dead Silence and Trophy System Field Upgrades. The Dead Silence will allow you to flank and go undetected when you’re looking for kills. Meanwhile, the Trophy System will come in handy when you need to play objectives, as denying drill charges, flashes, and other annoying throwables is key. At some point, you will unlock the ability to take two field upgrades and can swap them as required when your field upgrade becomes active.

Best MX9 perks in MW2

The most ideal perks for the best MX9 loadout in MW2 are as follows:

  • Basic Perk 1: Double Time
  • Basic Perk 2: Scavenger or Battle Hardened
  • Bonus Perk: Focus or other preference
  • Ultimate Perk: Ghost or Quick Fix

The basic perks typically are Double Time, Scavenger, or one-of-the-counter throwable perks. Double Time is good for SMG players to get around the map, while Scavenger allows SMG players to easily get those ammo pickups from fallen enemies. Since you’re close to enemies most of the time, it’s nice and easy to get ammo back. On the other hand, the game’s TTK is nuts, so getting a grenade counter perk like Battle Hardened or Bomb Squad is incredibly viable.

After that, the bonus perk most pros go is Focus. Focus is mainly used as an anti-flinch mechanic, as the game has an aim punch on most damage taken. It means you can keep your sights on enemies much better and get those frags.

Lastly, your ultimate perk is either Quick Fix or Ghost. Ghost is good for fighting off the UAV spam and keeping your position concealed in the later stages of a lobby. Meanwhile, the Quick Fix addresses your regeneration and allows you to contend with multiple hostiles at once.

This concludes the best MX9 Loadout in MW2. Enjoy your high-powered SMG with great ADS speeds. Moreso, you have the tools to fight off enemies at long and mid range if necessary and have the perks to give you the best chances of getting this gun off the ground and on the kill feed.
