By
Craig Robinson

The Lachmann 762 is a high-powered allied weapon in MW2, which operates as a BR, similar to the FTAC RECON. However, this weapon is more of a unit, as its full auto mode can turn this into a killing machine in all ranges. But, that is if you can land the first shot. While this will not be the meta of MW2, it will undoubtedly be a top gun in the right hands. For the best chances of success, here is the best Lachmann 762 Loadout in MW2, along with the best Lachmann 762 class, perks, and other tips and tricks to optimize your setup.

Best Lachman 762 loadout in MW2

Here is how to make the best Lachmann 762 class in MW2, along with the right perks and attachments.

The Lachman 762 is ideal to be used in full auto, mode, which comes at a cost to the stability and recoil control of the gun. To minimize that and make you the three-shot king of the map, you want attachments that will improve those key issues. Here are the best Lachman 762 attachments to use to make the full auto-playstyle work:

  • Optic: S2 Lonewolf Optic
  • Barrel: Romeo FT16“ Barrel
  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread 40 Compensator
  • Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40
  • Option 5: Rear Grip: LMK64 grip; or Stock: S9 Factory Stock

The Romeo FT16“ Barrel is one of the best Lachmann 762 attachments in MW2. It offers better bullet velocity, recoil control, damage range and hip fire accuracy. Although, there are movement speed, hip recoil and ADS penalties, but those are worthy trade-offs for what the auto mode needs.

A muzzle will be a needed attachment for the Lachmann 762 to support ADS recoil control. However, the options in the beta are limited. In the full release, go for whatever muzzle adds improved recoil control or improves your ADS. Compensators are typically better, but some silencers grant recoil smoothness. It is up to you.

The Lockgrip Precision-40 offers decent horizontal recoil control while adding some better gun kick and aim walking steadiness. This is ideal for using full auto while in ADS, meaning you have improved your chances of keeping your sight on an enemy for the kill.

Meanwhile, you want an LMK66 rear grip to improve your ADS at the cost of some recoil control. You have more than enough recoil control now, so losing a minor amount is worth it for better ADS reaction speed. You could potentially take the S9 Factory Stock instead of this, if you would prefer better movement speed, but you lose even more accuracy and recoil. Overall, this is more of a preferential playstyle option for those who prefer rushing or playing a marksman role. Rear grip for MM, Stock for run-and-gun.

The sight is more preferential, thanks to needing certainty that you’re hitting your target. The S2 Lonewolf Optic is a great addition, thanks to the better zoom quality over the minis as it is considered a Holo rather than red dot. Overall, it is a solid middle ground, but you can really use whatever you prefer here.

Best Lachmann 762 Class and Build in MW2

Building your Lachmann 762 loadout in MW2 requires heavy recoil control, while the class needs to make sure you land those kills.

The key for the Lachmann 762 is to succeed in building a great class around it. Here are our picks for the Lachmann 762 class setup:

  • Secondary - Auto Pistol
  • Tactical - Flash Grenades
  • Lethal - Semtex or Drill Bomb
  • Field Upgrade: Dead Silence

The secondary weapon you want to take is the X13 Auto Pistol or any other gunsmith options you have. The added high fire rate is handy for those SMG runners coming in, and when you don’t have time to reload your fairly small magazine count.

As for the Tactical, we recommend Flash Grenades. Flashbangs are fairly strong in MW2, so getting a blind on a rusher, or when you need to jump into a room with potential campers is a great addition to the kit.

Meanwhile, the lethal option somewhat depends on the enemy’s playstyle. The Semtex is a Semtex is generally useful for near-detonation instant kills, or hitting an enemy hard for an easy finish off. However, players who know they’re up against a Lachmann 762 auto player can use cover and negate their advantage. In these niche instances, a Drill Bomb returns the advantage back in your favor by forcing them out of their hidey holes.

Dead Silence is also a valuable Field Upgrade because of the potential to run around the map with your auto and catch people off guard. Getting the ADS upper hand is how you win fights with this gun, so Dead Silence is another factor that can grant that, no matter where you are on the map.

Best Lachmann 762 Perks in MW2

  • Basic Perk 1: Scavenger
  • Basic Perk 2: Battle Hardened
  • Bonus Perk: Focus
  • Ultimate Perk: Ghost

The best Lachmann 762 perks in MW2 are the ones that will help your gun perform, while also giving you the best survival opportunities.

Scavenger is easily the best perk for the Lachmann 762, as the auto mode will churn through your limited ammo. Your base magazine size is 20, and you have 60 rounds in reserve. Scavenger is necessary so you don’t spit your ammo away. It ultimately offers you solid killstreak potential and does not require you picking spare weapons off the floor.

Battle Hardened is an all-around good chance since tacticals are very prominent in this game. The game has high TTK; therefore, reducing the potential you remain flashed or stunned is ideal so you can fight back in this quick to die game.

The Focus perk is a perk you want to increase your chances of reducing flinching. You have some attachments that help that already, but the perk will ensure your aim punch (when hit in ADS) is significantly reduced.

Finally, Ghost is your ultimate perk of choice. UAVs are all too common in MW2, so getting that Ghost perk later into the round is a win for when there are multiple saved UAVs for the enemy team. It is one way to reduce the risk of getting pre-aimed, which is an issue, as auto 762 players need the ADS advantage against other more meta weapons.

All in all, we think these are the best perks for the Lachmann 762 in MW2. This should help round out your MW2 Lachmann 762 class and loadout, and give you the best-performing chance.
