TAQ-56 Camo Challenges & Tips for Completing Them

By
Craig Robinson

The TAQ-56, aka the Scar is one of the most contents weapons for the rank to the best Assault rifle, outside of the noob-friendly M4 and the broken Kastov 74U. If the long-range, solid-damage AR fits your preference, then you will want to go ahead and level this up and do some serious damage with it. While leveling up, you will also unlock the TAQ 56 camo challenges, getting you on your way through the weapon mastery progression. Here is a closer look at the TAQ 56 camo challenges in MW2 and how to complete them.

Here are the TAQ 56 Camo Challenges, and tips on how to complete each one.

TAQ 56 Camo Challenges Explained

Here are all the TAQ 56 Camo Challenges you can unlock and beat in MW2

TAQ 56 Camo Challenge Tips

Most of the basic camos are straightforward. The 50 kills and 50 ADS kills can be done using any build you like using on the TAQ-56. We recommend using our TAQ 56 loadout and class set-up, as it makes controlling accuracy sway and recoil incredibly easy to grab kills with.

As for the second basic camo challenge, we recommend playing an objective game mode, such as Hard Point, Domination, and Headquarters to get double kills in contested areas easily. Alternatively, go to areas where you expect lots of people in thin angles, like Farm 18’s main building, and you can easily pick up double kills there.

Regarding the hipfire camo challenge, we recommend sticking on a lazer sight and underbarrel attachment that aid your hipfire recoil and accuracy. This will help you get those hipfire kills much easier in close-range areas.

The best strategy is to use the Corvus Masterkey for the hip fire challenge. It is an underbarrel shotgun you can unlock by reaching level 15 with the Kastov 545, but that’s only is you have bothered to get that attachment before attempting this and other AR hipfire camo challenges. Using this while in hipfire counts as hipfire kills with the weapon. We recommend either camping on very close-range objectives, like the raceway objective rooms, or patrolling (or camping) in areas like Farm 18 buildings, the ground floor bedroom in El Asilo, and other such locations.

TAQ-56 Gold Camo Challenge and Higher Mastery Level Challenges

The Gold camo challenge is certainly much friendlier than the hip-fire camo challenge. We recommend you grab your preferred TAQ 56 loadout to start playing how you play best, or use our recommended build. If you’re a long-range Scar user, then watch key areas of the map, such as spawn traps on Al Bagra Fortress, Border Crossing, or funnel angles like Embassy’s outer edges. Alternatively, guard objectives and get double kills on enemies charging site locations down.

As for Platinum Challenge, we recommend putting on the 14.5“ Tundra Pro, and using a holographic or more magnified optic. The XTEN Angel-40 is a great holographic with a built in range finder. You only need to get kills around 35 meters+, so this sight should make it easier to determine those ranges. We also recommended equipping an underbarrel attachment that improves aiming idle stability. This should make it easier to get those long-range 3-4 hit kills with the TAQ 56. We once again recommend playing like a sniper, and watching long angles in outside areas, such as on Taraq, Embassy, and other examples. Feel free to mount objects to keep your recoil to a minimum. You can also go on Invasion mode and easily take much longer fights to get those longshot kills. Remember, you need to get 8 ARs gold before you can unlock the platinum challenge.

Now for the Polyatomic Challenge. For this, you will need to land headshots. You can either use the same build for the longshots, or use a better scope for more precise headhunting. Alternatively, you can go back to a better recoil control and ADS-improved gun, with a red dot optic to get those close-range headshots instead. Remember, you need 51 plat guns to unlock Polyatomic camo challenges for your guns.

This concludes the TAQ 56 Camo Challenges in MW2, along with tips for getting them. Once the Orion camo challenges come to light, we will update this page when we can.
