Fennec 45 Camo Challenges & Tips for Completing Them

By
Craig Robinson

The Fennec 45 is one of the stronger, and faster-firing SMGs in the game. It’s got great kill potential and offers players some excellent SMG gameplay. However, leveling the gun, and grabbing its challenges can be quite difficult at times. Here’s a look at MW2’s Fennec 45 camo challenges, and tips on completing them all.

Here is a look at the MW2 Fennec Camo Challenges, and tips on beating them.

MW2 Fennec 45 Camo Challenges Tips

Here the Fennec 45 camo challenges in MW2.

Challenge Requirement Camo reward
Challenge 1 Get 50 kills with the Fennec 45 Motley
Challenge 2 Get 30 kills while crouched with the Fennec 45 Eclipse
Challenge 3 Get 15 kills from behind with the Fennec 45 Feral Beast
Challenge 4 Get 10 double kills with the Fennec 45 2087
Gold Challenge Get three kills without dying ten times Gold Camo
Platinum Challenge 25 longshots with the Fennec 45 Platinum Camo
Polyatomic Challenge 25 headshots with the Fennec 45 Polyatomic
Orion Challenge Currently unknown Orion Camo

The first and second Fennec 45 camo challenges are fairly simple to do. Simply get kills, especially ADS or hip fire kills, and you will progress the first one. You can do so the same again, albeit crouched to get the second challenge progressed.

The build we recommend for all of these challenges is what we deem to be the best Fennec loadout in MW2:

  • Lazer: VLK LZR 7MW for ADS or Shlager for hipfire
  • Barrel Ignition Barrel
  • Muzzle: XRX Sandstorm
  • Magazine: 45 mag
  • Fennec Rubber Grip Rear Grip or Agile Assault Stock, depending on preference.

Meanwhile, the third Fennec camo challenge is tricky. You need to ideally play objective maps, like Hardpoint, Headquarters, or Domination. The trick here is to use the Fennec’s high movement speed, finding ways to flank, and kill enemy players focusing on objectives. Alternatively, you can head to positions on these sites, and watch angles where enemies are pushing to get your kills from behind. We recommend the Double Time perk for this strategy.

If you’re struggling with the third challenge, feel free to take the Recon Drone Field Upgrade. Use it every now and then to see where enemies are moving to get the flank and kills from behind. As long as it doesn’t die you can look back and forth and check where both cold blooded and non cold blooded players are moving to. You can also sit on site, flash or stun enemies, and then flank around them for kills too. All three strategies are pretty viable for these sorts of challenges.

The final base challenge is to get ten double kills with the Fennec. We recommend doing this one by going to objective maps once again and watching for the most contested rotation points on the map. You’re more likely to get double kills in thin areas, like those in the Hotel map, Farm 18’s main building, the El Asilo main building, and covering the gates on Al Bagra as examples that spring to mind.

Fennec 45 Gold Camo Challenge and Higher Mastery Level Challenges

Once you’ve done those four, you can now move on to the Fennec 45 Gold Camo Challenge. The requirement is to get three kills with the gun without dying, repeating it ten times. The trick to do this is similar to the Double kill strategy. Look for the most contested areas, or where you can spawn trap enemies, and then gun them down for a three-kill streak. You should be able to get this rather easily in a few games or so.

The Fennec 45 Platinum Camo Challenge is slightly harder. You will need to adjust your gun loadout completely, taking the following attachments:

  • Muzzle: XTEN BR-40 Silencer
  • Barrel: Forge Tac Ninja
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Grip: Fennec Stippled Grip
  • Optic: Holographic

These attachments grant recoil control, and improve your range and damage at range. You also get to see distant targets too. Remember, long-range kills are typically around 38 meters in the game. You don’t need to pick people off as snipers do, you just need to find longish angles. Examples that spring to mind are the gallows area of Al Bagra, the green tent area around the graveyard on Taraq, and some of the longer angles on maps like the Embassy. For once, we don’t recommend Invasion for SMG long-range kills, as your gun will be very ineffective.

Now we have the Fennec 45 Polyatomic Camo Challenge. Your job here is to get headshots. We recommend going back to the build we mentioned at the start, and preferably using sight to get better headshot clarity. Change the magazine for the optic, as you’re only looking to get headshots, rather than killstreaks. You then need to look for contested areas of the map, like Hardpoints, Headquarters, Domination, or rotation angles on maps, with you pre-aiming these locations. It should be easy enough to get close-range headshots with your pre-aiming.

This concludes the MW2 Fennec 45 Camo Challenges guide. We will update the page with tips if we find out what the Fennec 45 Orion camo challenge is, but for now, these should help most players on their way through the weapon mastery grind.
