The PILA is one of the easier rocket launchers to use in your games. It has a strong explosion radius, and a lock-on feature. You will find this is great and easy to use in your games to level up, and complete the challenges with it too. Here’s a closer look at the PILA Camo Challenges, and some tips, tricks, class setup and map strategies to do them.

MW2 PILA Camo Challenges Tips¶

Here is a quick look at the PILA camo challenges in MW2

The first challenge unlocks at level 11, so you’re going to be grinding XP against bots and other players, and doing the UAV, CUAV, Decoy Grenade Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint and Headquarters strategies to get XP until then. Once you get to level 11, you will need 40 kills with the PILA.
Some of the best ways to get kills with the Pila are as follows:

• Ground War Helicopter: The big Helicopter on the Ground War mode will offer you the chance to look from the sky, looking for players capturing ground war flags, or snipers on rooftops. Stand at the back of the chopper, and look for kills. You can use an ammo box on the chopper to get an extra mag and get another kill, before you have to fall from the sky and respawn back inside it
• Domination, Hardpoint or Headquarters: Look for sites and objectives getting captured, and launch your Pila onto the site for free kill(s). This is better if you know the enemies or capturing, or you’re one of the few left standing against a wave of enemies coming to the objective.
• General run and gun. Look for thin areas, and potentially have dense enemies, as you’re more likely to blow them up. Examples include the Crown raceway corridors, Farm 18 buildings, and other such examples of thin and tight spaces. Make sure to aim at the ground, as the splash area will be more reliable than trying to get direct hits.

PILA Gold Camo Challenge and Higher Mastery Level Challenges¶

Once you complete the base Pila camo challenge, you then get the PILA Gold Camo Challenge. You now need to get two kills without dying five times.

Once again, the strategies you are using to complete the base camo challenge also work on this gold challenge two. Keep up what you’re doing, and you’ll get gold in exactly the same fashion.

PILA Platinum Camo Challenge in MW2¶

Moving into the PILA Platinum Camo Challenge, you now need to get equipment, vehicles and killstreaks kills with the PILA. You have a fair few strategies, including:

Equipment destruction: If you’re looking for equipment, use the Spotter Perk and the DDOS Field Upgrade to track how many nearby enemies or electronics there are. The DDOS is handy for disabling equipment, which your PILA can then safely destroy. This is good against sites littered with Trophy Systems, which will take care of your rockets.

Killstreaks: You can go to either Ground War and Invasion, or your standard 6v6. Most players are running UAVs and Counter UAVs to level weapons fast for their killstreaks. So, there’s plenty of opportunity to take out enemy killstreaks with your PILAs.

Vehicles: If you’re hunting Vehicles, then you want to head to Ground War and Invasion. You need roughly three rockets to take out a vehicle, so you need the Munitions Box field Upgrade to complete the task. The result is that you can get to disabling an enemy vehicle really quickly. You will get kill credit if you are the last person to hit a disabled vehicle before it explodes.

PILA Polyatomic Challenge in MW2¶

Finally, the PILA’s Polyatomic Camo Challenge is by far the biggest pain for any launcher player. Thankfully, there are a few tips to make this somewhat easier to do. The first is to use Snapshot grenades for enclosed space objectives on your loadout. Snapshot grenades will let you know if there are some clumped-up enemies that you can try to double kill.

We also recommend using the Tracker perk, and using UAVs to source information. The more you know where enemies are, the more likely you can land those double-kill PILA missiles, or beat one person up and blow the next person up strategy.

These tips will only make planning this stuff easier. The challenge itself is still a massive pain to do, but, it’s the joys of getting to Orion. This concludes our Pila camo challenges guide in MW2. Good luck grinding this weapon!
