As if shooting people wasn’t enough, you can now shake them down for information before they die. Interrogation is one of the key new features to come to Warzone 2.0, and it might just be the difference between winning and losing
How To Interrogate Enemies¶
To interrogate an enemy in Warzone 22 you first need to take them down. After you hit them and they crawl on the ground they are ripe for your interrogation skills. Approach them and when you are close enough you will get an on-screen prompt to “Interrogate and Mark Enemy Squad”.
A progress bar will appear on your screen, that once complete will conclude the interrogation and mark your enemies on your map. One cool thing you can do if you are in the squad of somebody being interrogated is you can kill them yourself to end the interrogation and keep your location secret. It’s a bit dark but could save you from finding yourself in a tight spot.
Once your interrogation is complete it makes sense to high-tail it away from the scene as quickly as possible as you will have spent way too much time in the same location as you could ever deem safe to do. Always assume enemies are closing in on you.
Interrogation doesn’t take too long to complete but you need to be aware that it is not instant. Try to keep your interrogations to areas where there are multiple escape routes. If there is a single way in and way out, anything could be waiting for you when you exit your building.
When To Interrogate Enemies¶
There is a time and place for everything. Taking valuable seconds out in the open to shake down a bad actor while leaving yourself exposed to enemy fire should be a no go for obvious reasons. If you have just offed somebody inside a building with nobody else around, well that is fair game.
Interrogation forces players to think strategically as to whether the information gained is worth the risk. Sometimes in the heat of the moment, that judgment can become clouded. Even in what you perceive to be a safer situation, interrogation still takes a period of time to complete. More than enough for somebody to come barging through the door and pop you in the back.
Ultimately the decision is yours. If you are the kind of player who likes to pinpoint enemies on the map, then it will be for you. If you just prefer charging around and taking on whatever presents itself to you, then you may well take it or leave it.
