Operators are the new player expression feature added with MW’19, allowing players to play characters, rather than the generic boots on the ground skin for a force. MW2 is no different and is loaded with Operators to suit your preference. There are over 18 at launch, and here is what we know about the MW2 Operators coming at launch.

MW2 Operators List for launch¶

In total, there are 23 Operators you can choose from, some launching with different skins, too. The list of Operators are as follows:

By default, players will have an operator for the KorTac and SpecGru factions they play as in multiplayer. The base operator for each faction also comes with four outfits you can apply if you fancy some variety.

After that, there are another 18 Operators you can unlock via the campaign, multiplayer, and Spec Ops. The Campaign missions unlock as you play through various levels. Meanwhile, multiplayer has career challenges, accessible in Warzone 2 and MW2 multiplayer, while some are multiplayer only. The Spec Ops operators come through the various Spec Ops levels you need to beat.

If there’s one you want to unlock, simply find the task by going into your challenges or the Operator and finding out what you need to do to unlock them. They could be tasks like getting headshots in a single multiplayer match, a killstreak in a single match, and many more.

No doubt more will be announced as the live-service roles out over the next two years.
