The Lockwood MK2 is one of the more cowboy themed weapons in MW2. This gun is all about jumping around the map with a repeater, getting one to two hit kills on enemies, depending on range. To make the build as good as possible, here is a look at the best Lockwood MK2 loadouts in MW2 and the best Lockwood MK2 Class setup in MW2.

Best Lockwood MK2 Loadout in MW2.

Here is a look at the ideal attachments to create the best Lockwood MK2 in MW2.

  • Muzzle: FTAC Reaper
  • Guard: Lockwood Commando Guard
  • Lazer: VLK LZR 7MW

These three attachments will allow you to run around the map, easily getting those one-shot kills. The core of the build has you specialize in ADS, while somewhat increasing your damage range and velocity via the muzzle. It means you should reliably be able to get those one-hit kills in close and medium range, without worrying about other weapons’ rate of fire catching up to your high burst kill potential from one round.

If you want to opt for longer-range play, feel free to add a Cayote Barrel and an optic to your weapon. This will significantly lower your ADS and movement speed, but you can be a sniper cowboy rather than a rootin tootin shootin cowboy.

Best Lockwood MK2 Class Setup in MW2

Now onto the rest of the best Lockwood MK2 loadout in MW2. You want to use the following:

  • Secondary: .50 GS or Combat Knife
  • Tactical: Flash Grenade
  • Lethal: Semtex or Frag Grenade
  • Field Upgrade: Munitions Box

The secondary of choice depends on preference. The .50 GS is a Deagle, packing a two-hit body kill, or a one-hit kill headshot. This naturally works well with the Lockwood as they both have similar play styles. Alternatively, you can use a Combat Knife and run as fast as you can to get around the map quicker, and even one hit kill those you happen to run into with a point-blank knife swing.

The Tactical you want is Flash Grenades. Flashes will come in handy when you have that awkward duel or need to reload. That awkward duel becomes much easier for you to get the advantage, and it’s a life saver for reloading as you reload six individual shells.

As for your lethal throwable, you can take Semtex or Frags. Semtex is ideal for quick kills, especially campers or taking the objective. Meanwhile, Frags are better for getting kills further at range or doing wall bounces into new angles.

For your Field Upgrade, we recommend a Munitions Box. You’ll want to take it to refill your ammo reserves while getting your hands back on your tactical. Losing your reserve or tactical when you really need one can spell disaster, and a kiss goodbye to your killstreak.

Best Lockwood MK2 Perks in MW2

Now it’s time for the most ideal perks in the best Lockwood MK2 loadout in MW2. The perks you need are:

  • Basic Perk 1: Double Time
  • Basic Perk 2: Bomb Squad or Battle Hardened
  • Bonus Perk: Fast Hands or Focus
  • Ultimate Perk: Quick Fix or Ghost

The two basic perks you need to create the best Lockwood MK2 loadout in MW2 is Double Time, and Bomb Squad or Battle Hardened. Double Time is useful for lugging your MK2 around the map, into the wake of the pushing or newly spawned trapped enemies. Meanwhile, Bomb Squad and Battle Hardened are personal options, depending on which you find more annoying, the flash grenade spam, or the incoming semtex and fraggrenades. Bomb Squad is very good on US/Mexico Crossing map thanks to all the exploding cars, for example.

The Bonus Perk is easily Fast Hands, with Focus as a close second. The Fast Hands perk increases your reload speed, which is handy as you insert one round in the repeater at a time. On the other hand, Focus is handy if you want to avoid flinching your aim, especially if you’re using a scope.

Finally, Quick Fix and Ghost are great ultimate perks. The Ghost perk will remove you from the detection of UAVs, giving you some breathing room not to be tracked every other moment. However, Quick Fix is good, especially if you need to clutch a 1VX, as you will get your HP regen faster, offering better chances of survival as you pop one enemy after another.

This concludes the best Lockwood MK2 loadout in MW2. Good luck getting your cowboy gameplay some kill feeds and enraging the SP-R abusers in your lobbies.

I would recommend using the Basilisk as a secondary for the complete cowboy build.
