MW2 Season 1 weapons¶
There are four new weapons coming in the Season 1 launch of Modern Warfare 2. The BAS-P (UMP 45) and the Victus XMR are the two weapons coming at the start of Modern Warfare 2 season 1. They will be available for free as you level up through the battle pass.
Once you unlock those weapons, you can then get them unlocked via the weapon platforms. The BAS-P is a weapon that comes from the Bruen platform, aka the Aug weapon platform. Meanwhile, the Victus is its own weapons platform called the Imperatorium platform. Finally, the H13B Assult Rifle will become available in the store or through the weapon unlock challenges.
The Chimera, aka the Honeybadger, will unblock in teh mid-season content update. It will be available via a store purchase, or through completing a weapon challenge.
We will know more about these weapon challenges and the battle pass unlock as we get closer to the launch of Season 1.
MW2 Season 1 Operators¶
Six new Operators are coming with MW2 Season 1. Three of them are free, with Klaus, Zeus being two new characters, with the former launching mid-season, and the latter coming at launch. Meanwhile, Gaz from the campaign is coming at a later date in the mid-season content update. Both Gaz and Klaus will be part of the mid-season bundle in the store.
With the launch of season 1, players will be able to buy three new operators, including Messi, Paul Pogba and Neymar Jr.
MW2 Prestige System¶
The MW2 Prestige system is finally coming in Season 1. Players will get access to lots of new levels when it goes live. When players hit level 56, they will enter the first prestige, which is another 50 levels. You will automatically hit a new prestige when the threshold is reached. Those who reach the prestige during the season will get exclusive rewards for doing so, including emblems banners and more.
