There currently is no way to unlock The Slimline Pro Optic.

What is The Slimline Pro Optic in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2¶

Since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the 28th October 2022 a lot of players have been grinding their way through the levels and have now moved onto leveling up all the weapons to obtain attachments for your favorite weapon. However, for those trying to unlock all attachments for the M4 won’t be able to due to a mystery as to how you unlock the Slimline Pro Optic.

The Slimline Pro Optic is a Red Dot Sight that can be seen by navigating the menus until you reach the M4 Gunsmith. Here you’ll find out that it improves Precision Sight Picture but decreases Aim Down Sight Speed. However, as of the 31st of October 2022 when you view the attachment in the gunsmith there are no requirements to unlock it.

So Infinity Ward either planned to take it out of the game and left it in by accident or there is a way to unlock it but they forgot to put the pre-requisite in? Either way the only way to use this attachment currently is via the campaign or in Private Matches. Season 1 is due to be released on November 16th, 2022, so the update may fix this mistake then or they might throw out a patch before then.
